To add something to one of the points. Leveling alts. There is also emissaries for 2k gold each and they spawn pretty regularly. I make roughly 24k to 26k every time one pops up

Thanks for the tips! A few comments from my own experiences/knowledge: - Druids used to be the best gatherers, but that's not necessarily the case any longer. If you have the pathfinder part 1 achievement, you get a 20% mount speed increase, and by using the stirrups on your mount, you can use any mount to both grab herbs, ores and chests without dismounting. For your mount equipment slot, go with Comfortable Rider's Barding if you are not a tank, so you cannot get dazed, and you are good to go. Druid is still nice for their ability to instantly mount, but if you never enter combat, other classes have better tools at getting out of combat or they can run faster with their other abilities, so check it out! Monk Brewmaster seems to be a good gatherer with all of its movement speed bonuses for example. - Be sure to check how competitive the market is, especially for enchanting. On my server, it takes less than a minute for someone to undercut you, so be prepared to spend a lot of time dealing with the AH competitors if you go this route. The problem is that this will eventually make the crafts less valuable than you thought they would be, and all of the time spent working the AH could be spent on gathering in Nazjatar instead for a raw income, so choose wisely! - Battle pets are very hit or miss. Some sell great, others never sell. It's not the fresh market it used to be, at least not on Argent Dawn EU. Seems like all the hoarders eventually got what they needed. I keep making this error, but if specifik pets are flooding the AH, and you want to flip them, be careful. There's a reason they flood it, so check out how easy they are to acquire. People are generally less likely to spend a lot of gold on pets they can easily snatch themselves anyway. - Alchemy flasks can be profitable with the procs as Hazel mention, but I find that it is a lot of investment to get the good procs, because the level 3 proc itself is NOT enough to make the crafts profitable these days. You need to go through the process of getting access to the cauldrons in the open world first, which is costly and time consuming - once again, time you could have spent gathering in Nazjatar. That's my 2 cents :D

Hey Hazel, a tip to maximise herb gathering that you did not mention. Tank characters cannot be stunned off mounts, so if your class has a Tank spec, you should switch to that while herbing.

I play on EU and made loads of gold from unbridled fury on my realm for well over a month after the patch hit. The profit margin I got was about 60-100g per potion for weeks, which is more than I could expect from a flask most of the time; which is crazy considering i sold thousands of potions. Since classic came it has seen a pretty serious decline in price and sale rate along with the zin herb; so for now I am keeping mine for 8.3 - and stockpiling some zin'anthid when I see them for cheap. In 8.3 I expect to be moving to a new endgame zone, very likely without an entire new tier of alchemy consumables. So when that patch hits I expect unbridled fury & zin'anthid to see a price raise (not as dramatic as anchor weed in 8.2, but significant). That's a risk I'm willing to take. I have also been considering stockpiling the old herbs they are just so incredibly cheap now - crimson ink and the crafts are pretty profitable and sell alright on my server. I never thought they could be this cheap without a trader etc, but I guess it's a surplus from farming anchor weeds maybe? I also have a really efficient method of making mecha mogul mounts, it takes me about two hours per mount if you also consider time spent scrapping for expulsom etc. They always net me gold, because there is a barrier to entry and also a substantial amount of time investment for each and every craft. They sell very consistently with several tens of thousands in profit (which I think is fair considering the time investment, and pre-requisites). Sitting at about 4 million now made over 4-5 months. Most of that is from selling over 10k unbridled fury pots and 30 mecha-moguls with a bit over 100k profit per mount on average (more like 70-100k in recent times). I have tried to get the engineering part of the Xiwyllag ATV recipe, but with no luck. I have a blacksmith in my guild with the other part of the recipe - I think I could have made a solid amount of gold from that. They are really cheap to make, you just need the recipes. I did level up inscription and enchanting on separate alts lately, unfortunately they suffer from not having reputations leveled and so they only have rank 2 recipes. Most of the inscription stuff is still profitable at rank 2, but I will be getting rank 3 soon. Enchanting is a bit of a new venture for me, I have had enchanting on multiple characters before but mostly just to provide myself with enchants. I don't really know what recipes are crucial, but I guess it's mostly the new weapon enchants and ring enchants. Scribes currently don't have much good use for viridian or ultramarine ink, so I can buy it really cheap and with 1 expulsom make an epic offhand for disenchanting - pretty handy and probably cheaper than epic cloth stuff.

Thanks for the well presented video. This was handy the first weeks of patch 8.2, now the prices for these mats are very low on most of my characters's servers, low or high population. Which makes sense, since everybody is following these youtube guides and farming them in mass. Personally I got a career IRL that I love and no time to stay up at the AH to flip mats all day and night. So the only options I have left to make gold here in 8.2, and i mean REAL gold (like i used to make in legion or Wod) *** IS*** : 1) To buy wow tokens 2) To buy stuff for real money, like Tcg goods, and post them on the AH. Or try and buy Tcg goods from the BMAH and resell on high population servers. Anything else is just giving me crap incomes and setting a limit that won't allow me to buy all the vanity items like I used to in the expansions before. I know there are many other players that are in the same situation, regardless of the small minority of no lifers who will come and say that they don't have any issues with making gold in BFA, cause, let's be honest they just spend most of their time in front of the AH. (I'm pretty sure some will try and sell me "no, I make 5 million a day, and only play 1hour per week and don't ever use my credit card !" ****Suuuure**** Before I get the "You don't know how to make gold that's why" "I got no problem making in BFA, watch tutorials" "Maybe it's time you take a break" "Join a boosting guild and boost people for gold" Before I get all that BS. You must know that I have made more gold than most people here, I've been around for 11 years in the game. I know everything that has been stated in this video. I know how the AH works. Made millions, and my pride is that I never bought anything with real money, ever, never contributed to boost other people to earn gold or money, as I'm against it. Trying to make gold only by using the game mechanics is part of the fun, that's the game, doing otherwise is cheating. The game system is supposed to be enough to provide any player willing to make gold, to achieve their goals without becoming a wannabe Wall Street trader kind of guy. I got 512 mounts (almost al the TCGs mounts and pets, bought only with gold, never with real money) like 1000 or 1200 + (I lost count) unique pets, almost all the toys, rare Transmogs, including unavailable ones (Naxx etc), all the guitars. Any vanity items you can think of and that are related to gold or else, I have. 27k achievement points. etc. Now I'm not saying all that, to show off or to tell you that I know better, I actually don't care about collecting anymore , I can't remember the last time I mounted my Swift Spectral Tiger... I overdosed at some point. I know some of you might think " well, why continue playing then? If you already completed all that ?" "Go classic man, none of this exists in there" Now that you know all this, I will tell you my point : BFA is the first expansion ever to make me struggle with gold in a way that it's forcing me to go in a certain direction, it's not because I don't know how to make gold, it's just that I don't like how the AH system has turned, they removed all the fun with it. The system seems to be regulated by a small minority of players and it has no longer the spirit of "a land of opportunity for all" and that killed it for me. I think Blizzard is letting this happen on purpose for people to go for the easy solution and buy more WOW TOKENS. I think Blizzard underestimated the number of people that make gold only to pay their subscriptions. They need more people to buy them for real money, and since they can't advertise more than what they are already did, then their only option is to let some people saturate the markets indirectly by allowing them to do a certain amount of things, manipulating the gold makers into crashing their own market so they will redirect to WOW tokens. The only ones that won't feel affected are the ones that are already buying wow tokens in mass or buying Tcgs for real money/ hope for them to pop on the Bmah, and boost people all day. As for the regular mat sellers who claim that selling mats are enough, you get your caravan mount and that's it, good luck getting anything else in that price range after that. For me, none of these options are fun to make gold. It's just cheating or extremely boring, anyone can do that, no skills required. I can't play with the AH like I used to. And for anyone thinking that I'm looking for a solution, you are wrong, I'm not. I don't need any solutions. and I don't think Blizzard will ever chance their ways of doing. After all, they reintroduced Wow classic for a reason. I just want some people to realize all that. Everything I said is based on my personal experience in the game. Made most of my money by having two alts that can make sky golems and one alt that can gather the materials for it. The pattern is easy to get. Most anymore I just buy the living steel if its at the right price.The 30 day wait time to make one sucks but since I have two alts when one is done the mother is half way to making another. You only can make one Jard's Peculiar Energy Source once a day and you need 30 of them for those that didn't know. Jard's Peculiar Energy Source is also soul bound so you cant sell them. Still make a good profit but no where near as good as I once did. They still sell though. Got the idea from a money guide that someone posted a while back on KZbin. The pet Pierre used to sell good but does not do well anymore,he took like 15 days to make.

For dedicated gathering, since Legion, I've used a combination of gathering enchant of some sort, plus stirrups, hoofplates, barding and Darkmoon Faire Firewater. I have the Sky Golembut sometimes the motion (especially after awhile) makes me slightly nauseated, plus it's big and clunky. Don't get me wrong - it's a wonderful mount to have and do use it when I'm doing short-term (maybe less than 30 minutes) or when I'm gathering as I do other things (such as quest or rares hunting). In Legion, my goal was to gather at least 140 Starlight roses in an hour if possible, since that's what I contributed to our raid group's cauldron. (I also gather for my own guild's flasks). Depending on how many people were out there gathering and how chatty my guild was, I was often able to get over 140.

You can also make about 50k+ from old zones aswell. So if you know about good old farming routes. Go back to them and give them a few rounds when you are not busy or just tired of new zones. Ores and herbs are in demand due to the changes in how to lvl professions

Doing all the stuff it takes to prepare for that, and then doing the runs until you get to higher keys takes a hell of a lot longer than 40 minutes. When you combine that with any other activity that takes a massive time sink to get proficient at, it becomes daunting. I'm not saying it shouldn't be like that. I'm saying I wish I could do it.

I've found it easier actually to scrap any plate armor from Nazjatar and most weapons to farm the ore. Sometimes I'll get really lucky and buy the armor from the ah for less than 100g and it could yield around 3 ore. Lots of RNG on my part though. Also for enchanting, buy those benthic pieces and D/E them for quick veiled crystals. 😉

For me I make my gold about 500k a month from wq with warmode on, disenchanting, island pets and mana pearl pets. The mana pearl pets I made over 1 million in the first couple of weeks due to everyone spending their mana pearls on gear upgrades. Now I am not making as much. But hey I made my gold at the start of the patch. I am also now saving all my herbs till the next raid. I notice anchor weed went from 50 gold to 400 gold per one once the raid and mythic open up. So saving till then is a great way.

TSM is way too much for me. I use a combo of autcionator and auctioneer. It just seems simpler, esp when I'm posting daily off 5 AH toons. I loaded TSM once, saw it, ran screaming and deleted it.

Trust me TSM is way simpler once you get a hang of it. Once you set up everything up posting takes from 5 to 15 minutes depending on how many items you have, cancelling is a breeze, searching is easier plus you can snipe. With auctioneer I still had to manually enter prices anyway. With TSM you can set up stack prices and how much you can undercut.

Eric Bentz cuz I did vanilla back in the day...it was awesome. It’s etched in my heart for ever. But one can’t do it again. The memories come because of the ppl you played with..not the game it self. Vanilla as it was back then made you group up, and befriend those you grouped up with. You’d get excited just because you entered a new zone. All that you simply can not replicate. Unless you never played your self, and find peeps like you. Then perhaps. More power to you. But today everyone’s seen vanillas zones...it’s just not the same. But yeah there might be a few out there that could experience it as it was meant to. But it’ll be very few and thus the frenzy will die down. Most newer ppl find they’ve done those levels thru retail and will never understand the fuss.

I've tried to make gold on multiple servers and cannot do it. The game economy in general is dead. BFA flasks and elixers aren't selling. Osmenite is cheap as dirt and not selling. Cloth, leather, you name it. No one is buying anything and everything else like glyphs and regular expansion ore is priced astronomically and to top it off I likely won't have flying until next expansion.

Im on huge pop server .. and TSM is just fine guideline, but its more often than not lie when it comes to details and you should NEVER trust it. Real prices are usually lower than what it shows. Visiting something like underminejournal is much safer option.

No need for the golem mount . If u dont have it you can buy Monel-Hardened Stirrups on AH , allowing you to interact while mounted in Kul Tiras or Zandalar for 2 hrs.
