Hi, I recently stumbled across your channel and thank you so much for sharing your beautiful life and life skills. I'm 62 and recently retired and I'm currently implementing your lifestyle for myself too. I've already reduced my wardrobe and am in the process of decluttering. The main thing you said that resonated with me was, "I am over cleaning, maintaining and organizing". The time and effort in doing that truly robs us of our life. I'm already starting to feel free and less weighed down. Thanks so much and I always look forward to your videos. All the best to you and your family. From Teri in Torrance, CA

Teri , I just read your post! I am 73 and trying to get on board as well!! You are so right! The literal years I’ve spent “decorating” moving “stuff” from containers, boxes, buying more, because what I had wasn’t quite right!! Lord help me! lol! This peaceful site is wonderful, I am just getting started, you were encouraging! I still need to stop “retail therapy” and would like to see a video on that! Blessings to you, from Oklahoma 🌞

Hi Madison, my husband and I haven't long retired to the beautiful countryside in Somerset England. Our lives are spent walking through woods hearing the birds and seeing the animals in the fields. Before we moved we decluttered became mortgage free and bought our lovely bright house where it takes no time to clean.Ae spend most of our time outdoors and we are certainly slow living. I absolutely look forward to your video's, seeing your beautiful children enjoying simple pleasures. I'm even growing my hair as I love your look. Thankyou for sharing your lovely simple beautiful life xx

I recently came back from a holiday in Italy and broke down over there, so overwhelmed with life. I've been commited to living different ever since. It's the small things of this video for me, like you sitting on camera with your hair still wet from the shower. I've been blow drying, straightening my hair for 20 years, I dont even know what it looks like anymore to be honest. Just wanted to say I love your channel, so grateful I found likeminded people.

My first thought was “I need to fill my closet right back up!” But after watching your videos, I’m simply going to slowly replace my worn out clothes with high quality pieces and keep the same amount of items. It really has simplified my life my so much! Thanks for the inspiration ❤️

Thank you for your beautiful content. I’m 26, French and going through a hardcore burn out.. so let me tell you that it’s literally my body that took over and stopped my life and my crazy work intensity. I literally cried when you spoke about sleep. I love sleeping and I always needed a lot of sleep... but our modern society makes me feel guilty and out of place. Anyway, it’s good to have a slow-life coach ahah quite a new thing for me and I struggle a lot with my own judgment on my not so productive days.

Hi I just fell apon your channel through Jesus, and I really feel called to tell you how much a video I just watched of yours from your love of the morning just awakened something deeply within me. It just reminded me so much how we are deeply called to minimize our chaos in this crazy world that keeps trying to pull every arm and leg of our body torwards everything but stillness in god. As I’ve been in my healing journey I have become way more of a heightened conscious of how when I heal my inner world of Chaos you realize the external you don’t need to and tomato tomato, in the external affecting stripping my inner world. We live in a world that create a constant internal world of war that we are called to end in truth with god and be set free of. I thank you deeply for your awareness of your life style in relation to your inner world and spirt 🙏🦋✨☮️

I wish I could go back in time to change the way I conducted myself. I was so fast paced and tried to accomplish so much and then didn’t excel at all that I did. I was just mediocre. However, my daughter is my greatest accomplishment. Thanks to God and therapy, I spent quality time with an unplanned child; I didn’t have an obligatory love for her but fell crazy in love with her. She became my priority and was the one thing I got right above anything else. I look back at all the other things that went on in my life like volunteering, working, education, keeping my home and raising my daughter, working out, and maintaining my looks. I wonder what all of it was for. My motives were self involved and overly busy, so much so, I had to declutter the calendar and clock. That’s been a struggle. Keep things slow and keep cherishing your family. I am encouraged by you long after my child is raised and on her own. You are wise and I know that is impacting your children. They will pass along your strength; they are your legacy. ❤

Hello. I just started watching your channel. I am so thankful for your insight. I feel like everything you say makes sense. I’ve always felt the need to slow down. Oh and brain dumps is something I do on a regular basis. I can’t handle that much information in my head. As a mother of 6, I truly believe without doing that I couldn’t have survived sanely. Out of all the 10, I think the hardest for me is the 10 items of clothing. Wow!! Idk how to do that. My closet is bursting at the seams. Maybe little by little. I really want to get where you’re at. To live peacefully and without a bunch of stuff. Thanks for the great advice. 😊

I am currently working towards clearing my debt myself (just cc and mortgage for now, since student loans are up in the air), and it's hard and wonderful. One thing I really appreciate is my no-frills credit card. Since it doesn't have points or rewards, it has a very low APR. It's truly only used for things that we need a little extra time to pay for or emergencies. I know people with elaborate setups to get rewards and points and I'd really just rather keep things simple.

Wow, I love these videos. So good for the over caffeinated nerves! They show a beautiful, romantic dreamy life - Seeing all the home made breads (my drug of choice), fruit and vegetables, sunny climates with loads of time to enjoy the sun, the water, the love between a naturally beautiful mother and sweet children and a laid back well tanned, long haired husband and dad. Throw in some matching groovy music and I'm like - 'could I get a beer'? Yeah, the smell of the ocean in the evening is so, so....awesome! I've got to figure out how to bring more of that vibe into my day to day life : )

Hi Madisun, 🌼 I’ve recently come across your KZbin page and love how calm and down to earth and simply relaxing, it is. Any tips for decluttering? Do you follow a decluttering course, or keep it simple and do about 15 min a day, or once a week? Just wondering how to fit it in but am so keen to reduce what I own and clean less, and have less to do. 🥰💕
@MadisunGray2 жыл бұрын
Hey Susy- now that my home is pretty minimal is more just maintenance, but if you are just starting, just starting with something small like a junk drawer or the surfaces around your home. I also loved reading Joshua Becker’s book. He walks you through each room in your house. www.amazon.com/dp/1601427999/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_api_gl_i_SGDQWHYP76TTFHYYW8CV?linkCode=ml2&tag=madisungray-20

@@MadisunGray thanks! I’ve started decluttering but want to keep on going and go through the rest of the house. It’s just finding the time that can be a bit tricky. 🙈🙂 but I guess if I focus on how it helps me by having less, then that will keep me going 🥰

I like the idea of going to bed 9h before sunrise. I'll try and tinker with my phone to set that up! I would be interesting how much that changes though the seasons here in northern England. I think in the summer that would be a 7pm bedtime haha (probably not doing that)! Why on earth did people inhabit this place? Pleased to say I've watched all of your videos. I get really inspired by your latest one about cleaning. It gave me the idea of getting the kids out of the house with dad two hours a week. That seems to be a much more efficient, liberating way of cleaning, rather than doing a slice of it every day, where it then takes all day because children keep 'interrupting'. I still do the tasks that must be done every day, but otherwise I have all day to waste with the kids, and the cleaning doesn't run my life anymore.

I do sleep with the fan on as im going through menopause and the hot flushes can hit me hard when im asleep. hubby stays up later but I never usually wake up when he slips into bed.. as it gets lighter in australia heading to summer, I will start walking early.. I do admit, I am also prone to naps during the day too.. I let my body tell me what it needs.. I also limit my water before bed so im not up peeing and breaking my sleep.. there is a difference between rest and sleep as I rest reading in my hammock or on the deck but my sleep I need more than staying up watching a movie on utube.. (we dont hav actual tv stations on our tv.. its mainly used for utube.. ) thank you for sharing theses tips.. im starting to clean out my linen closet.. I spoke to hubby and he's agreed to purchase some cane boxes to place stuff in..

Hello! What do you do with your kids' artwork? Do you display it? Rotate it? Thank you!

We usually hang onto it for a couple days but then it usually gets ruined somehow and we put it in the trash.

I feel like in Hawaii you only have one season so a ten item wardrobe is possible, I live in Quebec, Canada where we have all four seasons (sometimes in the same day) but I do have a 40 item wardrobe.
