I DIYed one of those "double-rod" things with two wooden dowels (horizontal) and some heavy duty rope (vertical). Mainly because EVERY SINGLE STORE near me was sold out of the real ones and I was too impatient to order it online. I had to actually make two rods because it was for my 6 year old's closet and he can't reach the actual closet rod. Works really well!

Just a couple of ideas... use something in front of and/or behind to brace that mirror so it doesn't fall on you or your furbabies. And I have an open closet, too, and I love it because I can see everything... and boutiques do NOT put doors in front of their displays LOL... but, you do need to watch for dust collecting across the top of the clothes you wear less frequently. It only takes a few days, so I keep a clothes brush (a small soft hand-held broom) handy and go over them about once a week, or whenever I dust the hard surfaces in my room...

We have a 6 x 8 walk- in closet that’s 11 feet tall. Taking the door off our closet was so freeing.. It created space in corners we could never use. Now, it is the tidiest place in the house: my happy place.

I have exactly one 24" bar for everything I own, with a shelf above. It would be lovely to have as much space as you do. I use multi pant hangers or other multi hanging items. I keep underwear & sweaters in baskets on the shelf.

The graphic shirt basket is genius! I have so many shirts and never know how to organize them! Also no shade Megan, but having a mirror facing your bed is bad feng shui :( A mirror directly facing the bed depletes your personal energy when you need it the most: at nighttime when your body does its repair work.
