I've used lights like this to light up the swimming pool. At a campground I DJ parties at, four of the lights are raised as high as I can get away with and pointed right into the pool...lights it up like nobody's business...great effect for a 30 x 60 foot pool...light will reflect and give a ripple-effect of light off the wall on the other side. Also used it as a spotlight for some night cornhole. Best also to turn it to bright white on the entire at area at the end of the dance for cleanup. The lights are always the last thing I put up.

I've been helping a mate with his DJ business and learning the ropes. I'm like that guy in the Dire Straights song; I've got a daytime job, I'm doing alright... So I'm new to DJing, but have a lot of business and mgmt experience and I can see he's ready to expand, so I plan on offering some of my skills to him to help him grow and polish his business... Your videos have been my favorite for getting my feet wet... I know you've had a few curves thrown at you and I am so inspired by your can-do positive instruction and theoretical background. Thanks for contributing to the industry, in such a tangible and long lasting way.

As a solo performer, I use two T-bars, each with a par fixture that produces 40 degree beams set to white, as my talent spots, and two adj Dotz pars, or wide area RGB LED 50W floods set to Broadway pink for wide beam wall washing, and talent fill lighting, to bring out flesh tones more. I also use a low intensity RGB flood on the floor to fill the darkest shadows with colour. Behind me, there's a truss with between 4, and 6 flat pars for shoulder lighting, and visual eye candy for the audience. Thanks for doing this video.

They look really good when you put them in a window with a deep pane, especially when the window is at the entrance of a building so you can see them as you walk up!

I did that recently and we had the blinds closed so you could see the effect's outside.

I just put 6 on the top of a light bar and mount it about a foot off the floor and fan out the pattern on the wall as a background. I've also used them to up-light and on stands to light up the stage.

2:30 Just watched your previous video where you advised against the 'Dear in the headlights' positioning of pars - and in the very next video what do you do?! 🙂

Table lighting idea was brilliant. Set 6-8 pars around a room with the table lit and have em all wrk together or dmx a fade and have them chase really Looks gr8 👌🏻

Can you get the sound activation to just trigger the brightness of a single color? Or does anyone know any other reasonably priced led lights that can do that?

I was dubious about how useful PAR cans could be, I bought a set of four; a day later I ordered another four. I wouldn't be without them.

I do not own a lot of lighting gear. I only have two ADJ Mega Par profiles, a RGB-3C controller and a pair of S81LED miniature strobes. That is more than enough lighting gear for small gigs for about $280.00.
