I used to have a pair of Uggs and they were the warmest boots I ever had and yet were utterly useless in winter outside 😂 I could only wear them as slippers indoors. So I re-sold them quite quickly 😝 They just have NO grip whatsoever, any tiny bit of rain, sleet, snow or ice makes them useless (they are also really not waterproof either). Not very handy when you live in a cold climate 😅

I’m mostly a skirt/dress wearer and was happy to find several great leather skirts this year. My favorite is probably my khaki green suede short one from The Fold London. I love it when I can find one that isn’t black. I also got some nice leather jackets. (I had to buy a new wardrobe in 2023 because of weight loss the last five years or so). I can’t wear the plastics, they must be breathable, with breathable linings, rayon is good.

Today is my Birthday I turned 62 and it been a snowy day so it a chilly day and I get to watch some videos. Not the way one may expect to spend their special day but when your birthday in winter it not an surprise. The sheer sweaters, I call loose weave/knits some of them give the feeing of fishnet. Great for summer but (I have a few) but not sure how I would wear them because I think the ones I have are unworn and got tags. I am a big fan of cargo styles, my splurge lately is from Karenbritchic's Amazon drop. The only form of cargo I need is in a denim. Well Leoni keep warm and when you head back home have a safe trip. You should of gotten the wool midi coat because it hard to one that very long and these are so cool and you could have worn it onto the plane and used as a blanket. lol! I am disappointed on this because I love the fabric and the slip underneath could have been worn by itself. It those shoulders and sleeves that just not working. Thanks for birthday wishes!

My favorite coat is a teal, long, single-breasted, wool version that I bought at Retro Vinnie's in Perth, WA, even though I live half-way around the world in the opposite hemisphere. It was a great buy, I wear it every winter and get compliments every time I wear it, and have had it now for more than 10 years!

Go see if you can get that coat. Wear it on the plane. Use it as a little blanket to nap. They shouldn't charge you for outer wear since it is cold here. I don't know what city you are in. Las Vegas has a membership that gives 20%.

I’m like you at the moment. In Australia, from the U.K. to see my daughters. The sales started right after Christmas and already this week they are taking an extra 20% off sale stuff. One of my favourites is Seed and I’ve bought some great plain white shirts in cotton or linen - couldn’t leave then there at these prices. Am desperately trying to keep to classics and not just buy stuff for the thrill of getting a bargain. So I do listen to what you say. Have a great time in the US. Yes! In my town, it's Tuesdays. I have learned to always buy anything I am on the fence about. They have a pretty good return policy and if you don't buy it when you see it, chances are it won't be there the next time you go back. By the way, I've always wanted to know since the seasons are reversed in New Zealand, do you dress for European and North American seasons by the month or are you 6 months ahead or behind?

Let me just start by saying, I know I might be the bad person here, but someone has to say it like it is! As a passionate advocate for classy, elegant femininity in fashion, I’m not afraid to share my unfiltered opinions. While the blue sweater at 1:06 doesn’t resonate with my style, I appreciate the boldness of those who wear it. As for leather, it simply doesn’t align with my vision of femininity; it tends to veer too masculine for my taste. However, I must commend the lady at 2:16-she’s truly rocking it! Long coats? Oh, darling, they’re just not my cup of tea. The girl at 3:33 looks like she’s stepped right out of a sci-fi film, and that’s a look I can’t embrace. The oversized, baggy styles that evoke lumberjack vibes? Quite unappealing, if I’m honest. When can we see a revival of more feminine silhouettes? On a brighter note, the gal at 4:18 looks delightful in that jacket, and the one at 5:00 wears her waist-accentuating piece beautifully. And let’s not forget 5:08-simply lovely! Now, let’s talk about those UGGs. To me, they evoke a casual vibe that’s far from chic; they remind me of high school girls arriving late and hot Cheetos. Not my style at all-8:40 had me cringing! However, the pink coat with the scarf at 8:58 is a definite YES! Those pieces are simply gorgeous. And I’ve always loved the elegance of sweaters styled as scarves; they’re a classic that never goes out of style. But can we address the girl around 9:48? She looks like she borrowed a suit from her mafia dad-definitely not working for me. A little style adjustment would do wonders! At 9:57, I’m all in! Cardigans are hit or miss for me, though the gal at 10:42 is absolutely slaying her look. Puffers? Not really my thing. I believe sweats belong at home, perfect for cozy, lazy days. Now, those glasses at 13:23? Stunning! Sheer sweaters paired with crop tops have their charm, but they’re not quite for me. Gold pieces, on the other hand, are lovely! Just a note, though- the girl at 15:07 looks like she came from the “Can’t Touch This” set, which isn’t quite my vibe. As for cargo pants, it’s a mixed bag. They can be a rare gem, but often they channel more of an army aesthetic. While I adore Missy Elliott and her fearless style, it’s not for everyone. That said, the gal at 16:21 is looking fabulous and very well put together!

I’m sorry but I have to disagree with you on the furry booties. For me they just look ridiculous. These aren’t shoes, your heels aren’t even covered. They are furry slippers but they look too warm for inside and not warm enough for outside. God forbid you walk past a puddle or step into snowy road and your only protection at your heels are your socks! Who invented these?! No, you won’t be reaching for them year after year, you won’t even be reaching for them after the first time you have worn them and caught a cold from your feet or came back with wet socks because of them. For me they are the perfect embodiment of a useless, impractical fashion trend that doesn’t fulfil even the basic wearability purposes. I like the rest of your items though.

I just don’t understand the practical point and in what weather one should wear this sandals made out of fur (UGGs). We have zero degrees here in winter, the boots should be lined with fur from hell to the knee, otherwise you are going to freeze your feet of. And at +15-20C degrees you can just wear sneakers and save the life of the goats, who would be killed for the ugly Uggs otherwise.

Sorry Leonie but most of these pieces are unflattering and fattening (especially on a petite frame). The oversize coats with ridiculously wide (cartoonish) shoulders, the "pyjamas" that you call sporty sets, the ugly Uggs, the lurid leather, the chunky baglady cardigans. Please feature more elevated basics and fitted clothes and fewer disposable trends. Personally I'm on the lookout for a zip collared cardigan/sweater.

Just wanted to make comment in support of all your hard work, & say I am shocked to see some one subscribed actually complain about this latest very well researched professionally put together trend report… they may think they are being constructive but really with the brevity & snarkiness of it, it’s hardly going to be constructive.
