+Crazy Kid06 yes! or you'll stink. its kinda self defeating tbh..getting the mayo smell out, you use more shampoo. and since shampoo strips the oils in your hair, putting mayo ( packed w oils) in your hair is just a useless step. I've tried all kinds of things unfortunately. I find things like coconut milk or oil is wayyy better for shinny hair. (just my opinion)

If you want a heatless way to get good curls, you can also invest in foam hair rollers, especially if you curl your hair often. The bananas thing seemed like it wasn't good for your hair, because of its weight. Foam rollers are really nice: they're easy to put in, with or without help, they aren't as bad for your hair, and you can sleep in them comfortably.

Noticed on a few of the older comments - mayo will kill lice ( they suffocate), leave on head with a tight shower cap or plastic bag for 20-30 minutes then wash. Repeat if necessary as the mayo won't hurt your hair or scalp. Mayo is better suited for regular to dry hair/scalps (especially black hair like myself) and can be used regularly. For oily hair, i heard beer is better. For light conditioning 10-15 minutes. Deeper conditioning up to an hour. Now, you may feel uncomfortable cause the mayo is now like you poured oil on your head but it is fine and is conditioning from the roots on down to the ends. Then wash as usual. And those of you concerned with the odor, it washes out. My grandmother was the original person who told me this. Also, for a dry shampoo (when you can't get to water), you can use a small amount of baking soda a,d brush it thru your hair. Have to do it thoroughly otherwise it will make your hair look white or a very severe case of dandruff flakes. Also good for really oily hair to absorb some of that oil.

+KittyEmileen Gaming Try washing your hair less, and the shampoo cleans the oil follicules, they begin to work harder to reproduce the hairs natural oil - so it defeats the object - inbetween washes use talcom powder on the roots to dry them up and also Try not to run your hands through your hair, or brush it alot - this also encourages grease. x

Actually it depends on what egg you use, because exacttly that egg she used was white- that means that usually it is from the closest shop and it isn't... bio, naturall... i hope you can understand me. I will advise you to get egg from your grandma's chikens or something like that. So the same is with the mayoneese. It depends.

Yeah. Its really hard to wash out. Thats why you are supposed to only use the yolks. The whites are really hard to get out. And if you dont moisturize enought it will clump. On the other hand it is a great source of protein.
