It is against the law in every US state for anything, including bread, to be taken from one table and served at another. If caught by the health department, that restaurant would be immediately closed down.

@Russell Meyers You are correct that it is against health codes in every U.S. state for food to be taken from one table and served at another. This practice, known as "table surfing" or "plate sharing," can increase the risk of cross-contamination and the spread of foodborne illness.🤮

@Thais Stone That's a great attitude to have when dining out! While it's always nice to be able to cook for yourself and enjoy your own creations, there's something special about trying new and unique dishes at a restaurant.🥰

@Big Bad John That sounds like a great way to promote hygiene and safety at a buffet or salad bar! Providing clean plastic gloves and hand sanitizer can help prevent the spread of germs and bacteria, especially in a setting where many people are handling serving utensils and communal food items.😁

Most restaurants are not "made to order"... That doesn't mean they're dangerous or inedible. The fearmongering in this video is wild.
@BabbleTop
@BabbleTop Жыл бұрын
@Pariah Carey You're right that not all restaurants are "made to order," and it's important to note that just because a restaurant doesn't make every single dish from scratch to order doesn't necessarily mean that the food is dangerous or inedible.😊

After Basic at Ft. Knox in the mid '70s, I was one of six assigned to prep our mess hall for the next cycle. I turned out that we were to get rid of whatever food was unused. So, for five days we ate, and ate and ate. It was all from cans, or the freezer, along with some fresh fruit. Just whatever was on hand. It had to be eaten or tossed out. The looks we got when we returned to the barracks the first evening had the other soldiers not wanting anything to do with that detail., without asking what it was. I had lost 15 pounds in six weeks. I put five back on, on the seventh week. One of the most disgusting things I was ever given to eat was French Toast made with Rye bread. To this day, I can't stand rye bread.
@BabbleTop

Wow, that sounds like quite an experience! It's not uncommon for military mess halls to have to dispose of excess food, and it can be challenging to ensure that all the food is used up before it goes bad.

@@BabbleTop I was on 'Seperate Rations' after Basic because I never knew where I would be at meal times. My assignments were mission critical, so there were many days that I couldn't eat at all. That caused health issues and eating too fast because you never knew when you would have an emergency. One thing the Army taught me was to ignore minor problems, and morons. May you have a Blessed day!

I like a good wedge salad, but avoid ordering at a restaurant due to the insane markup. If it weren't for the pricing, I would def order it. It's a ripoff at restaurants. Taking a quarter head of the cheapest lettuce with a little bacon, egg, and dressing? Just cut the price in half, and it's OK.
@BabbleTop
@BabbleTop Жыл бұрын
@Lyle Francis Delp If you're looking to save money while still enjoying a wedge salad, you might consider making it at home. With a few simple ingredients, you can create a delicious and satisfying salad that meets your preferences and budget. The custom soups sound good
@BabbleTop
@BabbleTop Жыл бұрын
@Klein E. Yes, custom soups can be a great option at restaurants! Many restaurants offer the option to create your own soup by choosing your base (such as chicken broth or tomato soup), adding in your desired vegetables, meats, and spices, and creating a custom flavor profile that suits your tastes. This can be a great option for people who have dietary restrictions or simply want a more personalized dining experience.😉

@BRODY-FARTBAG That's a valid point! Sometimes homemade meals can be more satisfying because you have control over the ingredients and seasoning. However, there are some people who enjoy the convenience and atmosphere of dining out, or who simply don't have the time or desire to cook at home.😉

I unfortunately moved from Boston to Indiana in 2010, the biggest regret is the food that is lacking. No decent chicken parm, eggs Benedict or fresh seafood here. I make my own, because I know how. It's true, hollandaise separates fast, so it's easy for me to make a one time batch. The next day is a no-go.

@hbgriss In some cases, restaurants outside of Japan may use the term "Wagyu" to describe beef that is not actually from Japanese cattle, but instead from other breeds or crossbreeds that are raised in other countries.
