I hear you. I did not like this list at all. It was obvious it was researched using Google Maps and Wikipedia. Not every stadium can be a 1 billion plus dollar palace that sits empty most of the year. The stadiums built in the 1990s and early 2000s were overbuilt meaning they had all of the boxes, suites, and premium features that the new stadiums have. Has the creator of this been to BoA, the Linc, TIAA, and the rest built in that time frame? They are still excellent places to watch a game and hang out. All cities have to do is maintain and upgrade, which is easy to do in a football only stadium. Given the horrid bias of this list, I'll save everyone the wait and list the best, researched by media, word of mouth, and nothing else: Sofi Allegiant US Bank Mercedes Benz Stadium AT &T ...the 1 to 3 billion palaces. A bone will be thrown to a nicer older stadium...I think Lambeau makes the cut. Toss in some newer but not the newest roofed stadiums like Lucas Oil, NRG, add Seattle because that's a beautiful stadium and there's your list. I think there are only three below average stadiums, and I've been to them: Soldier Field - the renovations were a disaster and it is just ugly to look at. Whatever the Bills call their field this week - just old with little charm. It reminds me of an old college stadium past its prime. FedEx. Way too large, wretched color scheme, constant seat removal with ugly gaps in the upper deck, and poor mass transit and the Beltway is clogged right there. Tear down RFK and build your new stadium in DC on that site.

And stadiums still had the novel idea of being a place you could watch your team play in person surrounded by fellow fans. Now days the rationale is that a football stadium is in competition with a flat-screen 65-inch tv, a fridge stocked with beer, your own kitchen, and bathrooms with no lines. People used to go to football games because they loved their team and wanted to lend their voice to help them win. Now, it's about coxing guys off their couches.

Bank of America stadium is the the most unique stadium location in the league. It’s right in uptown with incredible views of the city skyline, which is the reason it’s used as the thumb nail for this video. Not to mention thats an old picture, there are several more skyscrapers around it today. Most stadiums are just bowls surrounded by huge expanses of asphalt. You can walk directly out of the stadium right into the nightlife. True football fans don’t need a sushi bar, gimmicks, or a swimming pool. It might just be my fandom talking but you don’t have a clue as to how much worse it would be if the Dolphins had the stadium by or in Downtown Miami. First of all Phins fans come from the county of Miami and Broward, the fact that the stadium is by the county line right next to the Florida Turnpike and not that far from I-95 helps with commuters from all directions. Number 2- Downtown Miami isn’t what you think it might be. It’s not like any other city’s downtown where you may have a major night life. Yes the Heat play “downtown” and you do have Bayside (a mall with some bars) next to it. But the commute downtown is a pain, & you rather go via metro (Miami’s “subway” system) then pay the ridiculous parking prices. After the game is done you don’t really want to hang out downtown as much. Like I said downtown isn’t much of a party spot. You might be confused with South/ Miami Beach and that’s a 15 min drive East over the bridge. The Marlins don’t play downtown, just for in case. They play in little Havana, which is about 10 min south of downtown. Again traffic is a pain when going to the ballpark, and it’s worse because you don’t have the option of taking public transport like heading to FTX Arena (formerly AAA), so you have to pay ridiculous prices for parking at the ball park or pay “cheaper” prices in the neighborhood and hope they don’t break into your car. (Notice the quotes on the word cheaper) Yes the Rock is old, yes the area around it isn’t as “lively” and all you have is a BIG parking lot. The field has improved, you spoke about a supper bowl back in 2010 to prove a point, a decade, really!?! I understand that as a sports fan you look for entertainment on every corner but trust me when I say. When it comes to its location, the stadium is in a great spot.

I'm a Browns season ticket holder and i go to one or two away games a year. When considering accessibility, gameday experience, energy level of the crowd, value, safety, and places to go before and after the game. From my experience you ranked Cleveland way to high and left off the list a few obvious stadiums. As mentioned, the tailgating in Cleveland is legendary. Muny Lot is like a Rock feasible. The Muny Lot is not for the Tee-Totler or the faint of heart. Game day starts at 6:00 am. Plenty of Sex and Drugs and Rock and Roll. This is not a place you go with your young children. Other than Pre-Season Games, I do not recommend taking young children to Browns Games. We Clevelanders are foul mouthed, most likely Drunk, and are prone to aggression when we lose. Affordability, Cleveland is the best kept secret in the country. Inexpensive Hotels are in abundance. There are plenty of things to do on a football weekend. Pro-Football Hall a Fame, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, World Famous Cleveland Museum of Art, bla, bla, bla. Plenty of Bars and Restaurants. On Saturday night you will not wait for a bar stool or a Table. The Ticket for the game will be the least you spend anywhere in the NFL. Also, the stadium looks like it is new compared to Cincinnati or Washington DC. The renovations have added colour. I guess you have to like Orange and Brown. I do. Cleveland is a huge value. We see this during baseball season when my city gets flooded with People from NYC and Toronto on game weekends. Cleveland is cheep to fly to, drink in, eat in, sleep in. My comments about your bottom Ten List First off Green Bay?? No pools or Pirate ships, nothing to do when your up there on Saturday or Sunday night. Having to fly into Milwaukee, then the 1-1/2 hour drive to the stadium. It almost impossible to stay in Green bay on Game Weekends. Then the 1-1/2 hour drive back to Milwaukee after the game sucks. Pittsburgh, once your in your seats the veiws are great, the concourses is rather bland. Then there is no where to PARK. Great city, a lot of fun, and a lot of places to go. Baltimore, is a rough, ugly place. Stadium is nice, people were very friendly. But the city is a shit hole. I stayed one block behind the Inner Harbor, an international tourist attraction. The Hotel was in an area that had a string of hotels. Homeless, and street people sleeping on the side walks. I had to step over people at 5;00 am on my way to a cup of coffee. Crazy traffic. Everything was WAY over priced. Would I go there again sure, the Ravens are divisional rivals. Indianapolis, It is nice to be inside in the winter. It is very difficult to get a bar stool or a table on the saturday night before or on gameday. I been to 2 browns games and 2 Big Ten Championship games in Indianapolis. I make dinner reservations as soon as I know I'm going. In regards to the NFL that is 4 months in advance. In regards to the Big Ten Championship Game it is usually only a week or two before the game. That week or two does not always work out well.

Not at all shocked that FedEx is first. Overpriced concessions, no water fountains, and horrible layout are just the tip of the iceberg. Nearest Metro is a hike (and I believe uphill from the station as well), parking is a nightmare and overpriced. The worst isn't just that you have to drive there. It's much too close to the major highway, which you think wouldn't be a problem, but OH IT'S A PROBLEM! They shut down the entire road and the left lanes go North onto the highway and the right lanes go South, and there's not much signage leading up to it. If you're in the wrong lane, you're either screwed or holding up the line in an attempt to change lanes. Thank goodness they're looking to move it back to the city because it's just a headache and a half.

This is why the Niners tend to get a combo of road games and Sunday/Monday Night games in September. Sure they get stuck with a 1pm home game in September but it's usually one game and the NFL reasoned that fans could handle that if they also expect cold weather fans to handle several deep freeze games every December and often every January in the homes of perennial playoff powers such as New England Green Bay, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, and Kansas City.

This is a prime example of the issues of stadiums in this country. Once they are seen as a little out of date, instead of being renovated like stadiums in europe or anywhere else, they just knock it down and make a new one, or completely move cities. It is legitimately one of the worst things about American sports.

Just look at the Braves and Falcons for example after Georgia dome opened in 1993 and turner field opened in 1997 by 2017 the falcons knocked down Georgia dome "because it was slightly obsolete" in for a high tech Mercedes Benz dome with a roof that can open and close and the Braves after only twenty years of being in turner field quickly ditched it in for suntrust park which is in the middle of nowhere
@mse2130 Жыл бұрын
@Anthony Rivera the braves had an excuse. The area around turner field was becoming very dangerous and there was nowhere to park so people had to walk 2 miles at night to get back to their car. It just wasn't a safe option anymore. And the area they moved it to is a rapidly growing suburb that is so developed you'd think you were still in atlanta.
@darryletillman79952 жыл бұрын
The biggest problem with going to a game is I miss all the other football, and I have to commit a whole day to go to a game. The last game I went to, I left my house at 8am. An hour down to the stadium. 30 minutes to park. Two hour tailgate. An hour to get through security screening. Three hour game time. 90 minutes to get out of the parking lot. And another 90 minutes to make an hour drive, and you walk into Sunday night football without knowing what's going on with your fantasy team. Add in available toilet at home, along with good beer and food, and I really don't have a need to go to the game.

To give you context how bad the location of Fedex Field, I'll give a little description of the locations of other stadiums for the major sports teams in DC. Capital One Arena (Wizards & Capitals) sits right inside of Chinatown, DC and have four Metro subway stations that are of various walking distances to the building. Since it's in Chinatown, that means there are also various restaurants and sites that folks can go to as well. Nationals Park (Nationals) is like a block away from the Navy Yard Metro subway station in DC. Audi Field (DC United) is down the road from Nationals Park as well. So like Nationals Park, there is options for a decent commute to go there. Fedex Field is out in the middle of nowhere in Landover. There are next to no restaurants and other entertainment venues near that stadium. The two closest Metro stations don't even have buses that go down there.

Having Hard Rock stadium in Miami, would be a harder commute for many, traffic would be worse and parking miserable (Remember the Orange Bowl?) . There are two major routes to Miami Gardens , I95 and the Florida Turnpike. There is also 826 .that leads to I 95 etc and has side exits that do lead to the stadium. The Miami Gardens location has greater accessibility ( These routes have improved through the years.) than let's say the old Orange Bowl did or other Miami locations do ( Miami is pretty crowded territory even when the stadium was originally built.). The folks who put this video together apparently did not do their due diligence concerning Miami nor the fan base that stretches throughout the highly populated region known as South Florida. Besides, most of the other stadiums mentioned here are not close to being on par with the Dolphin's renovated facility. Yes there could be more surrounding interests around the stadium. However, the Dolphins have been and are working on this as well i.e. the new practice facility . Besides, if you know much about Miami, there are plenty of things and ways to entertain oneself apart from heading to the stadium for a weekend of fun. To be more direct, Miami ( South Florida) fans, with yearly warm weather (for the most part) and Miami's other offerings , have many other places to go and often do just that. So before thinking a much greater investment is the answer, a few questions come to mind: How many people will come to Miami Gardens even if greater entertainments are made available, that is apart from stadium events ? How will the community react? Can one sustain the environment year around? Etc.... If one even partially understands the area and the problems surrounding these and other questions , one might see why high levels of investment and development are fraught with issues. Still things are progressing and the future is yet to be determined. Note: There isn't a full dome as the S. Florida heat and humidity (If one is considering air conditioning. ) are to the Dolphin's advantage among other reasons.

Great video post, I accept your premise on the stadiums in New Jersey, Buffalo, Miami, Charlotte and Washington. I push back on the commentary about the stadiums in Cleveland, Cincinnati, Tampa, and Jacksonville. For the Cleveland Browns, they did a remarkable job of first building on top of the old Cleveland Municipal Stadium. As well the newest amenities. For the Cincinnati Bengals, anything beats the old Riverfront Stadium. For the Jacksonville Jaguars, this is the only football stadium with a built in arena style complex Dailey's Place. Home of AEW Wrestling. Lastly, Tampa Bay Buccaneers Raymond James Stadium. It beats the old Tampa Stadium one. Two, I don't see any flaws with it. Though it is bland. Now to the ones you got correct, starting with Charlotte. I'll never the day or game where they had this massive flash flood downpour. Yes, that was ani incredible both for good and bad reasons. Good, it was a weather spectacular. Bad, it exposed the drainage system in that stadium. For Buffalo, a stadium "way past outdated." They are in talks for a new stadium. Which I hope is in Buffalo, not Orchard Park. MetLife Stadium has several problems with it. One it makes the market a faux New York sports teams. Two, the stadium is a whole lot of big pricey nothing burger. Three as you reported, dangerous field conditions that injure some players. They need to be made to go to grass or get penalized with heavy fines. Lastly, Washington's stadium I'll say is an upgrade from RFK Stadium. However, it not an excitable place I hear to watch football. They don't really need to fix the stadium that much. They definitely need to fix the infrastructure that surrounds the Landover, MD area. The same with the Hard Rock Cafe Stadium in Miami. I miss the older look when it was Joe Robbie Stadium. The way the stadium looks now. They need to offer a course on "how not to waste money on balderdash" amenities that doesn't work. Hard Rock Cafe and FedEx Field should be the two subjects of that course.

Little does this guy know, that Hard Rock Stadium has one of the best commutes for any stadium for a large area fan base . Considering that it’s a three county mass population/fans. If you put it in downtown Miami, no one and I mean NO ONE would ever go that lives in Palm Beach & Broward county. Love the changes! Love the look! It’s shady ☀️ and very comfortable. The site lines are great and I am very happy with the renovations.

Jerry Jones made it so that every new stadium has to be an amusement park for adults. Don't get me wrong, I'm a Cowboys fan and AT&T is a great venue, but it now makes pretty decent stadiums from the mid-90s look inadequate for not having all the bells and whistles. Oh, and Hard Rock looks amazing, esp. considering what it looked like before.

Honestly when you go to hard rock stadium it isn't that bad but I'm not gonna say it's great either

Like the video said it's way too much parking and it's not really in a popular area like if it were to be in biscayne Bay or Miami Beach. Really nothing but homes and apartments surround the area and maybe a few businesses and it's actually a bit closer to Broward than it is to downtown Miami. It's still an awesome experience tho in person

New to watching these but I’m guessing whoever runsTPS does’t like the Phins very much

Interesting that Paul Brown's name is connected to 2 of the stadiums mentioned here. After all, he founded the Cleveland Browns, named after himself, then later he founded the Cincinnati Bengals. Both times he founded the teams outside of the NFL umbrella, first with the AAFA in 1945 then the AFL in 1968. Some network should do a miniseries about him.

Yeah I guess y'all have never been to Hard Rock Stadium. Pretty ridiculous to have it ranked 2nd worst in the league when in reality it very well may be top 10.

I don't know the Bucs stadium looks pretty nice from what I can tell. That Colts vs Bears Superbowl in the rain wasn't tough to watch that was a pretty decent game. I thought the rain added to the game and the Prince half time show was pretty cool. That Patriots vs Rams superbowl was the real stinker hard to watch game.

I knew FedEx Field was #1 as soon as I saw the title

HardRock was basically rebuilt. They literally gutted it, put in all new seating, added the roof, 4 video boards, new concourses etc. Calling it a 30 year old stadium is flat out false. You guys clearly used data from 10 years ago for that info.
