7-1 sounds worse than 5-0. But if you saw both matches, you could see how the tactics in the 5-0 was far worse. Liverpool slowed down, they could have scored more of they wanted to. But I agree, it's weird not to include the 7-1, but maybe they didn't see it as a tactical failure.

I said this once I will say this again the main issue for Man United is the defensive structure it’s actually clear and obvious to see. In football you press as a collective cohesive unit, you don’t press individually. Players press in specific zones and there are always pressing triggers in which teams target. If United are going to press in a 4-4-2 (with Bruno Fernandes and Ronaldo up top) then the pressing triggers should be the opposition’s fullbacks and as result of this everyone should slide across in order to stop/mitigate central progression of the ball. (This includes the two forwards up top shadow covering the opposition defensive midfielder and the wingers pressing the fullbacks)

Don't get me wrong, I think since Ronaldo rejoined Manchester United, people never stopped criticising Ole. Perhaps they expect more when he is in the squad. Hojberg would be perfect for Manchester United, I'm surprised no one's really said it yet , solid defensively and also a great link between the midfield and attack in terms of his passing ability. Mctominey and Fred are both good players but I feel they lack the link up between midfield and attack and that's why Manchester United look so isolated in midfield at times.
