So many vital elements go into creating the ideal wrestler. Settling on a perfect finishing move can be quite difficult, and you'll even see wrestlers shuffle through various maneuvers in the early parts of their career. For the men ahead, it's hard to imagine them doing a finisher that's different from what we most associate them with...

Hulk Hogan had a different finisher in Japan called the Axe Bomber. It was a bent arm clothesline and, in my opinion, a much better finisher as it: 1. Plays into his '24 inch pythons' gimmick 2. Doesn't put undue strain on Hogan's hip/spine 3. Looks better and can be pulled out of nowhere

Could easily do a series on this. Undertaker used to do the Heart Punch, before he was the Undertaker, same with Kane using a DDT while he was the dentist. Bret Hart had a piledriver, Cena started out using the spin-out powerbomb, Jericho's Lionsault, Lesnar used the shooting star press frequently in OVW, and Sheamus had a few, including a weird chokeslam powerbomb and a suplex slam, that he used in FCW. And if we're going into other promotions or the indies then you've got so, so many to choose from. Punk's Pepsi Plunge, Seth's old God's Last Gift (love that move), the old Kevin Steen Package Piledriver, El Generico's BRAINBUSTAAAAAAHHH, Okada used a bridging German Suplex before the Rainmaker, Benoit used the Wild Bomb (which looked absolutely incredible) while he was Wild Pegasus, and Eddie used a powerbomb variant in Mexico. I'm sure there are countless others, those are just the first ones that came to mind.

Ok, Let's do this... The Rock and Randy Orton's original Finishing Move was the Diving Cross Body, Watch Orton's 2002 Entrance Vid. I don't know what moves Bret and Sting used Originally but they Both said that Konnan showed them Both how to do the Scorpion Death Lock/ Sharpshooter Submission. Braun Strowman used and Triangle Choke and a Hook and Ladder before the Over the Shoulder PowerSlam. Christian used the Reverse DDT before the Unprettier. Farooq used a Catch PowerSlam in WCW before the Dominator in WWF. Bobby Lashley used the Dominator at one Point early on in his Career on SmackDown!. Lex Luger did the PileDriver in WCW and Running Forearm in WWF cause of the "Steel Plate" in is Arm, before going back to WCW and doing the Torture Rack. X-Pac used the Buzzkiller as Syxx in WCW, and the Moonsault on a Standing Opponent as the 123 Kid in WWF before that. I am Sure there are Millions more, You could make like 5 Vids on this Subject Alone. Btw Where is Rollins Phoenix Splash or Styles Spinal Tap?

"Occam's Razor Ramon." Love it! I preferred the old Dirty Deeds myself. Looked more unique, and the messy, scrappy way it would land at time fit Ambrose's character. I always thought the Overdrive/Playmaker looked like garbage, though. The set up is awkward and convoluted, and it ends in a soft back-bump probably less impactful than a regular spinning neckbreaker. - Chris Jericho's "Breakdown" (Skull-Crushing Finale.) He was using that when he became Undisputed Champ. - Big Show's had enough to warrant a list to himself. The Final Cut (elbow drop and leg drop versions), that Cobra Clutch backbreaker thing he did during his ECW period, the Alley-Oop, the Colossal Clutch... - Seth Rollins' "Skywalker" (a standing Shiranui, called "Sethwalker" in the video games.) He used it in NXT alongside the Blackout/Curb Stomp. - Roman Reign's "Moment of Silence" (back suplex uranage) He used "Checkmate" in FCW, but "Moment of Silence" in NXT. - Zack Ryder's "Zack Attack" (inverted Overdrive) It was lame... - Edge's Downward Spiral (Flatliner) He barely ever used it. Then there was his "Edgecution" lifting DDT and "Edgecator" modified Sharpshooter. He always used the Spear, but it's like he/WWE really resisted making it his finish... - Undertaker's short-lived "TCB/"Takin' Care of Business" (standing Dragon Sleeper.) He used it for a cuppa coffee during his American Badass run. - Kane's falling powerbomb, which was like his attempt at the Last Ride during the Brothers of Destruction run in 2000/2001. - Sheamus' High Cross. The Razor's Edge is such a great finish; shame more don't adopt it. I wish Sheamus had kept it. - Drew McIntyre's "Scot Drop" (awful name!) Flatliner. He used it briefly before the Future Shock. - Sami Zayn's Tornado DDT. At the start of his NXT run, he'd do this arm-wringer flying tornado DDT off the turnbuckle, but ended up settling on the Helluva Kick as his finish and the DDT became a signature (that he rarely seems to hit!)

@@briwanderz I think Chainz in DOA during 90s used it. Also while every one jokes about it as it is not flashy, a true punch to that area is quite dangerous if strike is strong enough. Shock to heart could stop beating, brwak rib to puncture lung. Bust diaphragm and stop breathing. Actually easier to straight kill someone with punch to area around heart/lungs then to punch some one in face.

The spear works for guys like Reigns and Goldberg thanks to their American Football background. Rhyno's is devastating because of his bowling ball like physique. Edge's just falls flat because of his size.

The Teardrop Suplex is basically Candice LeRae's finisher "The Ballsplex" The only difference is Candice LeRae makes it look more devastating.

Randy is the perfect wrestler with the perfect finisher. Change my mind. I’m not a randy Orton fan, he’s not my favorite. Mix is my favorite. The RKO is perfect. It can be done at any moment, it looks like it hurts, it can reverse almost any move and it can be done on any surface

The Paradigm Shift (Dirty Deeds) is fitting since Foley used a similar double underhook DDT and Moxley looked up to Foley.
