Two people missing here that SHOULD be on this list: Austin Aries no selling Johnny Impact's finisher, standing right back up, flipping the birds and walking to the back and Thunder Rosa, when she did one of her entrances, you could see that she was really mad to lose, which she did.

Yes I too was wondering about this one. Even got its' own DSOTR episode. Felt sorry for JJ. Not only was JJ pissed, Hogan looked pissed after the way he won. The crowd was just going, "WTF?????" Then, as Shit-stain Russo walked away, Hogan gets on the mic & says, "That's half the reason this company is in the damn shape it's in, because of bullsh1t like this!" (The other half is because of WCW's powers-that-be giving a bully like Hogan full creative control over his own matches...)

I think the Charlotte one was that she had one foot out the door. She took a long hiatus after doing the job to Ronda and she had 'go away' heat at the time. As for Drew, yeah, he had every reason to be upset. It was honestly idiotic booking on WWE's part because they had a get out of jail free that could've given Drew his moment and protected Reigns in defeat easily.

@@scepticka wrong. IX is 9. 1 (I) subtracted of 10 (X). Smaller numbers in front of bigger numbers get subtracted. Thus, VX would translate into a wrong 5: 5 (V) subtracted of 10 (X). In the same vein, this will be interesting for the next few WrestleManias (which they probably won't reference but still), just FYI: WM 40 will be XL [10 (X) subtracted of 50 (L)]. 45 would be XLV (40 plus 5). WrestleMania 50 is obviously L, so LV translates into 55 (50 plus 5). And WrestleMania 60 will be LX (50 plus 10). Yeah, I liked studying the Roman numerals in school. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Does it show? 😅

I'm surprised Cena versus Miz at WrestleMania isn't on here. I remember when Cena came out during his entrance he was not his usual hyped self, and something was off with him. That's the WrestleMania where The Rock interfered and cost Cena the match. I'm assuming Cena was not happy about that finish

Incase noone in chat mentioned this yet, Luger was the planned winner. Bret was meant to beat Owen and then get his title shot first, and lose on the midcard. At a bar the night before, Lex was bragging about winning the next day, which obviously breaks kayfabe. Vince found out, changed the winner to Owen, and then Bret for the main event.

Alundra/Medusa wanted to drop the belt multiple times. She wanted to go rogue and drop it to Luna Vachon, but Luna was afraid she’d get fired. Medusa believed no one would even notice, as that’s how little they cared about the women’s division. Honestly, she’s probably not wrong. They released her while she was still champion, and didn’t even bother to get the belt back.

They did try to get the belt back, but she just didn't care. Why should she? She went to WCW a week or two later and tossed it in the trash on air. That was her basically telling Vince "you want the title back, come get it"

It was definitely Sable who was hard to work with for Tori. She already had many years of wrestling experience and was actually much more talented technique and power wise than Sable. Before she joined the WWF, she used the ring name Terri Power. Sable was just something cute to look at in the wring with little talent or ability. Sable was also arrogant as all hell.

The top 3 are justified. Pretty sure Tori was told "you even bruise Sable and you're fired" before walking out, like they did with Luna. Shawn had every right to be pissed at Hogan. And Madusa was told they're cutting the women's division right before the match. How is Aries not on here?

Oh man. I honestly think if HHH took over sooner, Drew wins at Clash. Roman already had the longest run since Wrestlemania began when we had Hogans 80s run, and he didnt pass that length anyways. You could easily drop it back to Roman after 2 months or something and continue the bloodline etc. Or just end it there and we woulda been fine with it, even if we got the big Sami push after.... did it really lead to anything? Yay another IC title win and the tag titles. Both are awesome but, Sami shoulda gone over Roman, not Cody.

I have one to add to the list, Buff Bagwell and the Total Package vs Sean O'Haire and Chuck Palumbo from World Championship Wrestling's final Pay Per View, Greed. The match was short, the announcers couldn't believe the performance by Bagwell and Package and the two laid in the ring after the match was over like their was seriously hurt. Shameful performace by those two when they knew it was O'Haire and Palumbo's time.

Just because its in the script doesn't mean they have to be onboard with it. Losing a match can ruin a wrestlers storyline and damage their career. For example, see the Nexus. If they had won that Survivor Series match it would have cemented them as credible stars. Cena winning the match buried that entire stable, and that was a last minute change made by Cena himself.

According to Hogan, he initially agreed to do a trio of matches, but he found he was in too much pain and could only work one. Considering he was the babyface and Shawn was the heel, it made sense for the storyline for Hogan to go over. Whether this is true or not is debatable, but I still think Shawn acted in an unprofessional manner.

You want him to be all-smiles all the time? That was never part of Bret's cool, calm, and collected gimmick. It's only in-character for him to look upset when he loses, and I don't agree that he looked mad before his matches with Yokozuna or Bob Backlund where he lost the WWF championship (probably the biggest losses of his career at that time). Fans often confuse expressions of focus and concentration on a big match with being "unhappy".

HBK's antics were 100% justified. Hogan was a coward and chumped himself, so why would HBK give him a 5 star match? Agreeing to lose in a TRILOGY of matches only to have Hogan chump himself and make it a one-off match was just lame as Hell. I remember it was one of the most ridiculous matches I have ever watched (except for 100% of the women's matches ever), and I couldn't help but laugh. HBK was 100% warranted to ham it up the way he did. The match isn't remembered for Hogan's win, but for the hamming of HBK so though he may have lost the match, he won the accolades every day after, so there's that.

I don't know, maybe because he is supposed to be a PROFESSIONAL wrestler and his job is to make it look real. Going out there and overselling ruined the match that Hogan and Shawn's fans had paid to see. There is no excuse for his childish behaviour. If he didn't want to do the job for Hogan, then he should have settled those issues with him backstage beforehand.

Fan reactions to Cena have always been very mixed. He was definitely not universally adored. Just listen to all the cheers/boos and duelling "Let's Go Cena"/"Cena Sucks!" chants there were every single time he wrestled from 2006-2016. Half of the fanbase hated him.
