Even if you put all the personal issues they have with Hogan and if you stick only to the business, each guy on this list would agree on two major issues Hogan had: - He always had a hard time dropping a title when the time came and generally a really hard time putting someone over. - Even when finally it was someone else's time to shine he always managed to steal some of it. When you watch late 80's and 90's PPV's the amount of time Hogan is involved in big moments (title switch or whatever) when he wasn't even part of the match is insane.

But most of them do it while they are on their prime and when their time to leave the business due to age or injuries they leave and make room for new talent. Hogan went to WCW instead and sabotages many carreers there instead just in order to have himself stay on top. Then he went to TNA and almost ran the entire company to the ground just because he needed to have everything be revolving around himself and after that he returned to WWE because everybody needed a 50 year old wrestler who is clearly way past his prime to be featured weekly on TV instead of talented new faces who could make their way up the ranks.

@@robertdorfer1932 No. Wrestling's popularity at it's peak (according to the actual TV ratings and sales numbers) was during the mid 90s to early 2000s ala the attitude era and Monday Night Wars. And Hogan was a easily replaceable wrestler by that point. Ask anyone with any sort of ACTUAL knowledge of wrestling and they'll point out wrestling was already a big thing before the creation of the WWE/F. As many historians was calling out HHH for trying to claim wrestling only existed in bars before WWE/F when in actuality one of the biggest audience draws retired around the time WWE/F was created. While anyone talking about wrestling NOW 100% isn't talking about Hogan. Last big chatter was AEW's creation, but the hype has died down because wrestling in US has failed to adapt to the times and is still trying to use strategies that worked in the last century.

True, as much as i dislike the burying HHH gave throughout most of his career, but at the least, HHH put on some good matches. Hogan did have some matches that were pretty good, but the classics HHH had put on at least gave reason (but didnt excuse) his extreme push and buries. I feel Hogan was more selfish and less driven to perform.

I am old enough that I remember Hogan just coming in as I was a young boy maybe 2nd or 3rd grade. By 4th or 5th grade Wrestlemania 1 was about to happen. Hulkamania was a phenomena taking a grip on America, if you were alive and remember it was truly crazy. He was so easy to look up to and he had a good message albeit, was an act. Idk, maybe back then he really meant it or I’d like to believe that he did. Obviously as a grown man I recognize real vs fake, I know as a person hogan is unsavory to say the least. However, the memories I have as a kid and the one time I shook Hogan & Andre’s hands in L.A. will always be a special time for me in my youth. I can say unequivocally that Hogan’s, characters message, led me down a path of athletic accomplishment and encouraged me to work hard for what I want while staying clean in mind & body to do it. I know the drug, steroid, and general debauchery was happening but, as a kid all I saw was a wholesome good message. In that respect I owe Hogan a thank you regardless of who he was as a person. I was already a man who had moved on from wrestling for years when all the shoots really started and the veneer of pro wrestling started to chip away. It’s hard sometimes seeing who your childhood heroes are as people.
