The WWF lightheavyweight title goes back to 1981 so many champions thru the years never (or rarely) even set foot in WWF although they held the title (it was mostly defended in Mexico and Japan) So Liger is not unique.

Here’s another one: Koji Kitao. He teamed with Genichiro Tenryu to face Demolition at Wrestlemania VII and never had another WWE match (while Tenryu appeared in a couple Royal Rumbles). He did have that infamous match in Japan with Earthquake in 1991 where he refused to wrestle, but I don’t believe that was under the WWF banner.

I don’t think that last guy was running from any creative, more likely being ran out of the building by WWE because he is the size of a 15 year old boy. It’s embarrassing for any wrestler to be that skinny, it makes me sick that fans not only accept but encourage wrestlers to be small. You don’t have to be a guy with muscles everywhere but if you’re gonna be a wrestler you have to be solid, so many of these guys need to live in the gym for a while before ever being on tv again.
