That Fiend vs. Seth HIAC match still burns me. They booked themselves into a corner and had no logical way out. They didn't want Seth to drop the belt, but they also didn't want The Fiend to lose decisively because it would ruin his whole gimmick as a scary supernatural monster. But they had no choice but to book them in an "anything goes" match that by its very design forces a definitive winner because HIAC was the next show on the calendar. It feels like no one had any foresight and was just booking stuff on the fly, and they didn't realize that they had royally screwed up until the last minute.

It’s not so much bad creative It’s just Vince’s overly obnoxious ego and a council of Yes-Men WWE has creative people all over, both in the corporate side and wrestling side But as long as people like Vince and those who side with him are around we get crap like what’s mentioned in this video and in previous ones Example: as much crap as Johnny Ace gets, and in many cases rightfully deserves, he did play quite a few good parts in wrestling history The best one I can recall was being the personal friend who got in touch with Vader and brought him back to Japan for his proper final tours in AJPW after WWE nearly killed Vader’s love for the business

It was better than 2017, and nothing could be worse than the specific period between Rumble ‘17 and Summerslam ‘18. 2019 brought us a good Rumble, a top 10 WM, and the birth of AEW Dynamite (which was a great show when it first started). It cemented Becky as the star she was meant to be, and it gave a much-deserved WWE title run to Kofi, a man whose patience has few rivals.

I think his art simply didn't work in the confines of professional wrestling. The stories and characters he wanted to present are things you'd expect out of a comic or graphic novel. This isn't the first time a character or concept didn't really work due to the constraints. I'd argue that ministry Undertaker was the worst version of Taker for a similar reason. Conceptually, a satanic cult should have worked, but went way too far down the rabbit hole.

IF it happens, Roman Reigns vs The Rock at WrestleMania 40 will be on a list like this, because the crowd at Wrestlemania of Pennsylvania will hijack that match, and won't care about the match at ALL, they'll hate every bit of it, if Cody isn't in it, plus the botches that will be in the match in the match due to The Rock being rusty, it'll be a complete disaster waiting to happen.
