I actually kind of liked the Seth Rollins story desperate for a match at wrestlemania 38. Considering the previous time they were in Dallas (a Mania Seth missed) it was pretty cool irony, and Seth basically carried an entire storyline by himself! Just my opinion.

The Lesnar vs Cena match at Extreme Rules 2012 was absolutely insane. Every time I see Lesnar do that leaping dive thing off the steps to the outside and almost land on his head, I flinch, even to this day.

Honestly Aj vs Brock 2 at Survivor Series made sense since AJ previously lost so WWE thinking that they couldn't do a rematch was stupid since their first and ever only encounter was a banger and a dream match that no one actually saw coming. But holy did DB vs Brock Lesnar work even though they were both heels and the result was freaking amazing

What about Survivor Series 2009; a Triple Threat Match that could have headlined WrestleMania with the right hype (Cena vs Triple H vs HBK) was, in kayfabe obviously, made by a pair of clueless Nascar drivers on the suggestion of Hornswoggle, who was upset he wasn't allowed in DX. 🤣🤣 The show got such a low buy-rate that Vince blamed the "brand" of Survivor Series being dead, and initially cancelled it for 2010, until fans brought it back. He couldn't see how much damage the stupid Raw guest host era did to WWE storylines...

The build. It sucks but it's a business. I have always thought the best wrestling match is not the one that draws the most or has the best work, it is the one that is good enough to get the most people to buy the next show. So I guess in that way every match is part of the build to the next match

A good match will always be remembered as a good match despite the quality of the story. There are very few really good wrestling storylines that ended in bad matches that I can remember off the top of my head. While both are important and should be done well, a good match with a bad story will trump a bad match with a good story every time.
