I have a really hard time to think Owen would be alive today if he signed with WCW after the Montreal Screwjob. Vince Russo was unintentionally involved in 1999 Over The Edge and I really doubt he wouldn't have had Owen in some tragic gimmick in WCW.

Alternatively: Shawn Michaels to WCW means MSJ never happens. Bret is more likely to stay with WWF because of this, which all but eliminates the chances of Owen being saddled with the Blue Blazer gimmick and winding up in the rafters in KC.

There would've been a massive power struggle between hogan and hbk. On one hand, hogan was best friends with bischoff and was the biggest wcw star but on the other hand, shawn was buddies with nash and hall who also held backstage stroke. If the hbk was treated bad, the kliq would leave and no kliq means no nWo. Both of them had two of the biggest egos in wrestling history so it would've been fun to see both of them use their golden shovels against each other. SS 2005 was a taster session.

@@HepCatJack Your forgetting how powerful the kliq was in the 90s. The nwo, whether its wolfpac or black and white, doesn't work without the kliq. If hbk was buried or ruined nash and hall would probably leave wcw with him. If they were pissed when x-pac was fired, imagine how bad they'll react if shawn was mistreated? Not to mention nash joined the creative team in 98, so shawn definitely would've had protection and good booking.

they mean after taker made it big in wwe, don't think Owen had an actual contract when he was on wcw in the early 90's yes both wcw and wwe was after Chyna but she was not signed to anyone at the time and the video is on about stars that was contracted to wwe so thats why she did not make the list.

Owen really should have gone to WCW, even if he might've ended up failing there. It's possible him teaming up with Bret would have done more good than what Bret did solo there, but who's to say. But if he went to Atlanta, he wouldn't have died the way he did. And while I can't say for sure if he would still be alive today, he would have lived longer.

The two people who saved the Rocks career were JJ Dillon a backstage producer and the Undertaker. JJ DILLON. has revealed not long after the Rock joined the WWE he was broke and didn't have much money in his pocket. The Rock went up to Dillon and Told him he barely had enough money to eat and was thinking about quitting. Dillion knew The Rock had a huge future in the WWE. So he arranged for the Box office guys to give him $200 and the Rock never quit. THE UNDERTAKER. Back when WWE/WWF were talking about giving The Rock his first WWE/WWF title run. The Kliq as they were known decided they didn't think he should be given a title run and they decided to use their power backstage to try and stop it happening. At the time the Rock was young and didn't know what to do. Thankfully the Undertaker had heard about what was going on. He knew the Rock had a huge future in the WWE and would be a great champion. The Undertaker went to Vince and used his powers to get Vince to ignore the Kliq and give the Rock his first title run.

to keep WWE from having him... he was a 'carpenter' who could make anyone look good, even if WCW didn't need that, stopping WWE from having it goes a long way.. There was a good stretch ~'97 where WCW's Roster was so bloated it would make WWE's Pre-Pandemic (Pre Nick Khan) roster look anemic... god love the likes of Lanny Poffo, Marty Janetty, Rick Martel etc but WCW was paying them all Prime Money a good 5 years past their prime... and from what I read Poffo worked less than 5 matches during his time with the company and most talent below a certain tier were never asked/required to attend the venue... essentially making them 'no-show jobs'
