Is it just me or humanity slowly getting better? Haha. Like it’s so nice see the positivity in the comments sections on a lot of these little female athletes working so hard for their dream. Personally, this as well as the 8 year old female snowboarder, just make me smile. They are so crazy talented and it’s so cool cause you know it’s not just some god given talent. These girls are working for everything they get and I’m so proud. It’s awesome seeing more and more girls going into things like hockey and snowboarding/skateboarding. The world really is opening up and it’s wonderful. My mind goes nuts when I look even ten years into the future of women’s athletes. And having her on all the boys teams, not only makes her better, but it’s gonna make them better people. They will hopefully take their experiences and have more respect for women growing up and never underestimating what a girl can do. Absolutely love these videos Whistle thank you so much for showing because I know that every time you do one of these, to say she has inspired one person, would be way off. Can’t imagine how many girls saw this and thought wow I want to play hockey. Get out there girls! The future is looking bright!

I’m 14 and I’ve never played hockey in my life. I love the sport to death but it’s not local. The closest league is an hour away and that doesn’t sound to bad but it’s not manageable. Gosh, I haven’t even been ice skating once. Every day I go outside with my cheap, wooden street hockey stick and a tennis ball and try my hardest. There’s nobody on my street who I can play with so it’s pretty much me and a laundry basket. I just hope it’s not to late to start.
@charlottelund38023 жыл бұрын
im 13 and i just started hockey, yes it super super challenging to catch up to other players since they have been playing almost their entire lives. I know that the nearest league is normally an hour away but I would recommend doing clinics for the summer before trying to get into a team. it is a bit of a late start and a ton of people told me that but I didn’t care. Work hard, be dedicated, and you will get there trust me.

SpikeBoarding (new American roller skiing) would help Maya very well. In her own words, "what ever helps the upper body." SpikeBoarding is the little sister of Nordic roller skiing only it's twice as fun and the logistics of practicing SpikeBoarding are far lower. In regards to the skating stride. SpikeBoarding requires switch kicking skate stride. The ambipedal skills development are near to those of figure skating however slightly different and all that much more beneficial when added to the hockey skate stride and all the figure stride work. Hands down the one sport that will develop high VO2Max will be SpikeBoarding. The full body hill repeat work that can get done is fantastic. Don't forget. SpikeBoarding develops exactly the same benefit as full body Nordic XC roller skiing. Exactly the same. Who has the highest recored VO2 Max on the planet? You guessed it Nordic skiers. Not even pro peloton cyclist come close. I love what I am seeing here. Tons of logical and super good cross training with everything that makes a great athlete first. Then make the superior hockey player. SpikeBoarding is simple to find online. SpikeBoarding same as you are discovering with figure skating will help win championships.

This kid is amazing. Figure skating and hockey are very different styles of skating. I wouldn't really say figure skaters are better skaters than hockey players. Usually you can tell when a figure skater is playing hockey by their upright posture and chest out stride. Not well suited for any physical contact or speed. This kid seems to be able to emulate each style and look like a completely different skater in each sport.

Eagle Boi there are more than 400 Canadians that play in the NHL and just barely over 200 players from the US! And I’ve seen way better players in Canada but there are better players than her in the US too!

Ya but do they work and train as hard as her. Plus you could say that about any country in the world, there are good players all over the world like Japan's Aito Iguchi who is an absolute champion.

Looks like there will be opportunities now with the professional womens league, maybe we will see her play on one of the teams in the future.
