I can't believe he beat a masters at speed chess. Yes technically the older man won. But if the yute hadn't done that weird thing it was really his win.

Illegal castle wasn't called. Carlini (an outsider) called it. That was win. Alan didn't call illegal move. So this game is win. 2 potential loses but not called

I don't think these are examples of the kid playing 'unfairly'. It seems more like honest mistakes that the adults here or the adults teaching him can easily turn into teachable moments.

Kid’s trash talk gets the job done! Strong enough to unnerve some of CC’s best! 2nd, 3rd, or whatever the motion to bring on Hikaru. Doubt the kid has a chance, but would love to hear his trash talk against one of the greatest speed chess players in the world.

I think that if you go by rules you have to determine which rule book you will go by. I think if you go by USCF rules and act as a judge which makes sense then if a person picked up the piece of the opponent while everything is still in play then that's an illegal move. Yet, if Allen lets it go and does not stop the game and does not call for a ruling then as he agreed to continue on he then I think loses the right to challenge that play and if so then the game goes on and then he lost on time. I think that could be the uscf judgement call there. I'm not sure. Ask hikaru when he's in town. BUT I could be wrong and I'm not completely sure. I wish an official referee could make a call here. I wish this were pursued.

Loses & failure is very important in a young child's life it helps them tremendously. Gives them empathy, understanding, determination, realistic, hope, respect, prevalence, strength, learning lessons, stronger mentality, takes away fear, gives confidence, learns to control emotions not act impulsively &, much more.

I'm finding Forest's trash talk annoying now. Plus he played illegally. Kudos to Alan, but boy didn't he make it hard for himself, I think, trying to be clever but didn't calculate well and it cost him his major, major lead, overthinking to make a crazy exchange when all he had to do was get that pawn to the 8th rank.
