10 Years of Hard Use: Leatherman Sidekick

I didn't have the money to buy a Wave so the Sidekick is what I went for 7 years ago, really love this tool especially the spring loaded pliers and pocket clip that doesn't come on some of the more expensive leatherman tools

Got one for Christmas a few years ago, I love how useful it is, the pocket clip and the locking blade on the outside are awesome, it was hard to find a knife that I would rather carry

Just want to point out that the fat flathead screw driver is designed like that on purpose for more strength (useful when prying). For smaller flathead screws, you use the small flathead on the end of the file tool.

Amazon $69.45 right now, dang the price has shot up....I like the tools on this one love the pocket clip although for me its not worth the cost with the none cutting pliars..Thanks for the review..

could use the saw for drywall in a pinch

The saw is very usefull for harder stuff like plastic and other stuff You cant cut with a knife

The serrated knife is not just when the main blade is not sharp. It has many uses

I’m planning on getting a sidekick and nodding it to make it perfect for my needs. I’ve seen a couple other guys add larger knives from the wave or charge with a bushing and swapping to a larger screwdriver so this is going to be my base tool since it’s so light and compact! Great review tho, glad to see the stock version will hold up well!

Yeah I don’t think you can go wrong with either. Leatherman is just a solid brand all around
