The keep it simple is the best one, I swear every time someone shows a picture of their project, it's a dick swinging competition on how many automation tracks you can put on it XD sometimes I will work on one song for months and feel like I have to add something to it only to leave it alone because give and take exists and this idea that every second of your song has to be complex is wrong, it fatigues the listener

100% agree. it often shows experience and skill if you keep projects minimal.

Some nice advices. Especially the idea of trusting your ears more than the visuals.

5:50 If it sounds good, don't give a damn how you achieved that sound. 20 fx or raw dry sample. and one more thing, it’s hard to make delicious candy out of shit. 🤔

Tbh I've only been subbed for a few months. Took me 4-5 years after getting my first ddj then onwards to start that and my plan to crdrums and all forms of percussion. It's never too late but I'm curious what held you all back from begining any music related endeavor?

@@kuriouslife for me personally just overthinking every step I made. Always started to do something and dropped it again after a few days, that was the biggest obstacle to overcome for me :)
