Hi, Dylan! Excellent tips! Have you done (or have you ever considered doing) a video explaining step-by-step how to send and receive edited material from a distance using Final Cut Pro, and relinking the media and all that (example: when one person records something and sends that recording with a bunch of videos and pictures to someone else to edit, and then the person sends back the edited version for the first one to relink everything and render it)? If you have done it already, please let us know the link to that video. Thanks! All the best!

In Multiple Selections, you can do this by going into additional range start and end in the Command Editor and change to i and o and it works in multiple parts of the video and one normal selection.

A useful tip I often apply involves employing a dissolve transition within a single clip, particularly when there's a noticeable change in lighting or white balance. I find the point where the lighting shifts, split the clip at that juncture, and then adjust the lighting or white balance as needed for each section. By inserting a dissolve transition at the split, the clip transitions smoothly from the first part to the second, creating a seamless flow despite the adjustments.

Gratitude for this Dylan. I have been reading the User Manuals for FCP, Motion, Compressor & Logic Pro in Apple Books (yeah, I’m bummed they are no longer updated and pointing people to the online user guide over the ePub) and there is much to discover in all four applications. With some exploration I see there are a range of ways to get a project completed depending upon one’s preferred editing style.

Awesome!!! Two questions regarding no2: 1) does this risk any kind of Copyright Problems for songs from music licensing platforms because the song is altered a bit? 2) any chance you build a plugin to get that effect even faster?😃
@TheFinalCutBro8 ай бұрын
1. I can't speak to copyright! It's just always going to be a risk. So you'll need to decide if that's a risk you're willing to take. 2. Unfortunately I can't make a plugin for this as Motion doesn't work with audio effects. So it's down to the ol' manual process on this one!
@linnankuva8 ай бұрын
Great tips! 👍 One "pro" tip 🤭: When applying an effect from the effect browser to the selected clip, just double-click the effect. You don't have to drag it to your clip. I'm pretty sure all know this already, but this one catches my attention all the time when watching tutorials and Final Cut related stuff. (or is that dragging just intentional to show it more clearly, dunno...)
@TheFinalCutBro8 ай бұрын
Yes great one! I always click and drag for my videos just because it is more visually clear what clip I’m applying the effect to. But if someone doesn’t know this, this can be a huge timesaver!!
@ChrisMorrisonKCАй бұрын
@@TheFinalCutBro Another one that a lot of people probably don't know -- You can also select multiple clips in your timeline and apply an effect to all of them at once by double-clicking the effect. I do this all the time with audio effects!

Does FCP have something like an anti-adjustment layer that you can stick in between layers to stop the above adjustment layer from affecting any layers below the anti-adjustment layer?
@TheFinalCutBro8 ай бұрын
Not specifically an anti adjustment layer. But if you had multiple layers you wanted to affect, you could select them all, right click, and place them in a compound clip. Then all your changes applied to the compound layer will affect the layers inside, but none of the layers outside the compound clip.

You have 10 years to use FCP yes but I remember Mac Plus with ADVI app is first time until they rename from ADVI to Final Cut Pro last about year 2000 with FCP about 1.0 until now. My woommate buy FCP 2.0 and years, years then I buy FCP about last 2012.

Great, would love if you could make a video about best free alternatives to Cine Studio by Motion VFX! Btw nice vid, earned a sub
@TheFinalCutBro8 ай бұрын
Unfortunately there aren't any free alternatives that I am aware of. But there are more affordable options you can check out! You should look into Keyper and/or Background Remover on the FxFactory store! Both do a great job of cutting out people super quickly. As for 3D tracking, you could try PixelFilmStudios, but I just find that the level of quality from MotionVFX is sooooooo worth the additional cost.
@GlobeSync18 ай бұрын
@@TheFinalCutBro Thanks for replying, I have heard of Keyper and Background remover but i am looking for I slightly better option. I have reached out to MotionVFX and asked if they have any plans of brining back a one time purchase option but they say most likely not. I have found bcc+looks which works ok on rotoscoping but it is still sad to see no good alternatives.

Hello!!! For the last 3 months I have had a very strange problem with 10.7 and 10.7.1, constantly FCPX alerts for missing media (usually audio), but it is false, you can even listen to the audio and if you go to share export, something that works just fine. The problem is red alert clips everywhere and also missing waveforms for the affected clips. It happens randomly, I've been searching for answers but other than a Reddit post describing the same problem (without the answer) there is no solution. PLEASE HELP!!!!
