This win was also a reward for all those Toro Rosso employees in Faenza who've worked there for years when they were Minardi. All those pointless seasons, scrimping for every lira/euro just to get Minardi cars on the grid within the 107% time, this race is proof that in the end dreams can and do come true.

Well 4 world titles and some of them were a close battle for the championship (2010,2011, and 2012). He performed well in 2008 in a midfield car and of course won in Monza and almost gave Hamilton a heart attack as he passed him in Brazil in the wet but Lewis managed to win the championship because Timo Glock spun on the last corner. Lewis Hamilton never stepped on any midfield team but Vettel did and he's done nothing but magic in Toro Rosso. Its debatable if he's the best of all time but he's far from overrated as many people will say. Someone can't be overrated if he's genuinely that good.

It's the nature of competitive sports of any kind. People will always have their favorites and use the smallest mistake from their rivals to rip them to shreds. Which is kind of ironic because you dont here drivers always towards the back of field never scoring points getting dissected like this every weekend. At the end of day the denying the driving skill of anyone on the grid is just mental. If you love F1 then you know what it takes to drive those cars even at the lowest level, and you just love to hate the competition.

bear in mind: 1. Toro rosso cars in the second half of 2008 were extremely fast, almost third fastest teams (that's right, faster than the red bull and BMW), SV's mediocre teammate also finished 4th in qualifying. 2. the difference between the tier 1 team and others was not so big like after 2009(no the alien cars like BGP, RB, and MB ). TORO ROSSO cars can compete with the ferarri and Mclaren even under the dry condition.

The gap was quite big actually. McLaren and Ferrari were miles quicker than anything else apart from the BMW but they fell off the pace at the end as well. What got Toro Rosso this win was a fantastic qualifying decision and setup and then a fantastic race with minimal mistakes from Vettel. This was a once every 5 year race.
