If the U.S. debt market collapses, pulling the U.S. stock market down with it, I think it could reach an all-time high, somewhere between $75 and $100/ounce. I don't think the bank manipulation of silver prices will ever end, so the price will probably peak, and then stabilize somewhere below $50/ounce.

The Hunt Brothers had 100 million ounces of silver in 1980. JP Morgan supposedly has at least 600 million ounces now. If the Hunt Brothers' hoarding pushed the price to $50 in 1980, why hasn't JPM's hoarding pushed the price to at least $300? That's actually a rhetorical question. I just want to make people think.

I dont think JPM has 600 million ozs of physical silver. But I do know they have more than 600 million ozs of paper silver. China and Russia I can assure you are stockpiling all sorts of GOLD, Silver and every commodity you can think of.

The price is definitely suppressed. While we've been excited about gold's movement, and buying accordingly, the heavy silver bars have been going out of stock. That means the major players are buying it, while we're distracted.

In 2010-11 there was a HUGE fight over the government debt ceiling and Moody's, S&P, etc... actually downgraded US federal credit for the first time, causing even major financial institutions and investors to run to metals, which hasn't happened during this period because the conditions are so different (namely the markets not being in the toilet and government credit not being in crises). Just because you feel that there should be a historical parity right now doesn't mean it actually makes sense for there to be one. There was some panic during the lockdown that caused people to invest in safe assets, but it wasn't that massive rush like in 2011, so it mainly poured into gold because gold is actually a first rate means of exchange that nation states and other major entities still utilize at times while silver hasn't been used for such a purpose in decades. I'm well invested in silver and only have a bit of gold, but I'm in my 20s and am patient enough to sit on it for the years it will take to hit $50 again.

When gold gets too high for most people, they will flood into silver. Methinks that will make the ratio look much better.
