Thumbs up in appreciation for Thomas, a good natured, loyal mule. They have the intelligence of most of our dogs and "the good ones" have a similar desire to please their human companions. Thomas's day off should include a bunch of carrots, a feed bag of oats, and a vigorous, soothing brushing, all in a field overgrown with clover on the most beautiful spring Sunday imaginable.

Thomas loves his job and pulls like a charger. If you teach lean as a separate command to pull he will not look twice at the boulders seen here. The advanced lesson is getting him to pre-load, stand still with tension on the load and shuffle his hind feet towards girth.

Love watching this. Having built a fair amount of stone walls and foundations the only thing that worries me is all the gaps in the small stones under the large ones. A good rain could wash some the soil into the gaps and make the wall unstable. I would use 2 to 1 dry clay and sand tamp it in the gaps. Or maybe take a sledge to some of the stones and crush it up and place in there as ballast.

How is soil being washed into the gaps any different to filling them with clay and sand?
@rustymillington96464 жыл бұрын
Because Clay is more stable than sand. Plus Clay can be manipulated to do what you need done with it and hardens up fast
@kevjames42363 жыл бұрын
@@mossoconnor4417 mixing sand and clay creates a substance called loam which holds moisture at a far greater rate than natural soils and won't wash away. It's perfect for dry stone walls and is often used when people are planting into stone walls due to it's structural integrity.

Going through the forests and landscapes that you guys film in, you can really see why people decided to settle, build and raise communities there. It's a beautiful place to be. Really wish we had places like that locally in Australia. Don't get me wrong, the Australian bush is beautiful. There is absolutely nothing like it in the world. But the forests just look so peaceful, calming and relaxing. Why can the 2 habitats exist within a 10km square area? It's a damn shame I have to visit Europe one day and see all this historic beauty for myself
