Great stuff! Super entertainment again and so nice to watch. Don't you think that pouring the water over the top and sealing all of the igloo gaps would be an idea? Melt some snow and sprinkle it over gently as during the freezing night the water would freeze and even thin crust layer of ice will keep the inside air a bit warmer. I am not so sure but that what I used to do as a kid to my igloo. Eventually if you would continue to do that over the few days the ice dome will got thicker and defo improve the inside conditions. I am in awe of yours adventures Julius. Take care mate.

Making a igloo. Very difficult to make. Im sure the acients completed the would use it for all winter. And reinforce the entire structure. Once you get it so high it fits get easier but critical at the same time. Good job friend.

One of my goals is to build and sleep in an igloo...but finding the right kind of snow in Pennsylvania has been a bit challenging. We have the right snow when i have to work and the wrong kind when i am free for a few days, so frustrating. Love the round house, cant wait for more. Keep the content coming, its been great.

Julius you can improve the warmth of you sleeping area, by elevating it, or making a cold trench, colder air will fall into the trench.

Totally different from the way i learned to make igloos. Looks like it takes way more effort and its made way less sturdy this way too. But it does look beautiful.
@matthewwagner47 Жыл бұрын
You have it great. I would leave it the way it is. Once the snow starts melting from you being inside it will get stronger friend. Acients didn't have shovels.

Impressive igloo build! However I think it looked like you gave up too easily on the stove. If you would have gotten a bit more or better tinder it would have worked fine, but what do I know. You got some smoke but no pancake. I guess you were cold and wanted out of there, and I don't blame you. Beautiful scenery though.
