This week I complete a visit I've been trying to do for a number of years to see some MASSIVE JUMBO KOI POND FISH COLLECTION..
I've been given permission to visit a private owner to see hos pond and hos stunningly BIG fish for myself and share the experience with you as it happens.
The average size of the fish in this pond is between 60 and 90 cm's so big fish.
One on particular Koi is a 1.4M CHAGOI, that I'd heard a rumor it existed but never seen it. IS IT ONE OF THE BIGGEST KOI IN THE UK

Nice Chagoi, but i am very sorry, its not even close to 1.4m or 140cm. As someone's already pointed out , you can gauge the size of the fish by the brick work, It around the 1 metre mark but so many are .

Amazing vid mate love big koi growing my 8 as big as i can. Beads are just tempests on a bigger scale n they are brilliant imo they dont get the credit that they deserve. Our USA friends seem to love them as they're go to systems. Instead of a tempest buy a bead second hand (cheap) and convert it to k1 micro if it uses the old beads 👍🐟

I live in Devon and there have been a lot of different fishponds attacks including a Gent up the road who lost his koi some of which were 28year old he was completely broken and to see him in tears was hard, I don't think the people who release these animals realise the devastating consequences.

Hi, new subscriber here. A friend sent me this vid and said .. "Do you recognise this place ?" .. It did make me chuckle.. I actually know this pond very well. Apart from that , if you do the maths yourself , look at the brickwork. That fish would have to be longer than either 6 of the orange bricks or 20 of the engineering bricks (Both inc mortar) . Don't get me wrong, an absolutely fantastic person , the quality of his fish are even better... but that big bugger is still only "Jaws" , it not a "Megaladon" yet. Now going to have to binge all your vids. PS ... love your passion for them.

FACTS.. The largest koi ever recorded is a jumbo koi named Big Girl. Big Girl was bred by a specialist breeder in Japan and lived in Wiltshire, England. She measured over 4 feet long and weighed more than 90 pounds. She was a hybrid between a Chagoi and Soragoi. In fact there are no records of any Ginrin Chagoi over 1m in length.

I wish we did. The fish was so timid and we spent along time just coaxing it to the surface without stressing it out too much. My intention is to maybe try again next year and float a tape or something whilst trying to get the fish to swim next to it to get an idea of the size buy don't think it will be accurate 🤔🤔

Theres no way on earth that fish is 1.4m or over. I believe the longest koi ever documented was between 1.1-1.2m

The problem surely is the health of Koi I believe they say you should only have 5 20” fish per 1000 gallons. So, it’s a choice do you aim for a few big fish or a larger number of smaller fish. One fish in a pond will grow big because it has the room 5 fish in the same pond will not grow as big because they don’t have the room. Saying that I remember an article in a Koi mag two or three years ago that said: A British fan has taken delivery of the world's biggest koi - a monster that tips the scales at a staggering six-and-a-half-stone. The size of a 12-year-old child and three times larger than any other Koi in the UK. So when are you getting one or should that be when will you be selling your house to buy one.

The volume and size of fish also depend on the level of filtration not just the pond volume. The better the filtration the bigger and more fish you can keep.
