It didn’t look slow to me. Looked average which is just fine. I just bought the newest one with the keyboard included for $59 today. That was the Black Friday price, so I would say that’s pretty amazing.

I was so down for this tablet and keyboard for school. I was tired of lugging a 15” 6 pound laptop. I settled on the iPad 6th gen (128 gb at Best Buy for 299). I already had a Bluetooth keyboard and none of my classes require high specs. Just good screen real estate, chrome, Microsoft office, google docs and apple office suite are easily accessible. I still have my laptop at home, and the PC’s on campus (which are beasts of computers compared to what I have at home).

I really like my Onn tablet. Found my keyboard didn't work after a couple days also. Tried all the settings I could think of, but a simple USB female to mini male plug, you can use a standard keyboard just as well. Problem solved!

Wow...to the point. My current budget says yes to that tablet. But like with most fellow Americans, I want the high end version and will probably spend too much getting it. ...lol... My poor friends have thousand dollar phones. My wealthy friends are still licking flip tops. If they do have a smart phone it's an LG like mine and if it's a high end model the company they work for provided it. Squeakers would certainly love this set up. I wanna get Netflix and watch Pluto and KZbin on the one I end up buying. These things are cool when you have to wait in a room for long periods. 😊

FYI Another KZbinr who reviewed the 8" version of these tablets did give it a drop test.He dropped it about 8 times onto a wooden floor facedown, faceup and even side ways holding it overhead and dropping it from at least 6ft high. He even stood up on a couch and dropped it and the only damage it received was a tiny ding on one side when it hit the edge of a coffee table on the way down. Even after all that the tablet still worked like a champ!

Hey Jordan. I noticed the Wyze Cam and Wyze Cam Pan. I have the wyze cam and love it. I'd love to see what you think about them. They are really good cameras and their price is amazing. They've also released some other home security and home automation stuff too if you weren't aware. Can't wait to see what you pull off the shelf!

I was going to put all 3 Wyze cams I've got in one video (Wyze sent me one entirely too long ago, then I bought their limited edition black model, then the Pan cam when it was on sale). I didn’t find any settings for the navigation bar, unfortunately. I even tried installing different launchers to see if they would replace the bottom bar, but none seemed to. My guess is Walmart had the developers lock down the nav bar completely.

Its a good tablet im pretty sure i had one in 2018, but the problem is that it doesnt have such emojis and kinda hard to tell which emojis are which. Also the thing that connects them together breaks kinda easily but the tablet holds up pretty well i lve dropped it off of a very high bed and it barely did anything it just got 1 tiny crack and it can take like 1000+ photos which is good for an old tablet but it charges slowly and it takes like 6 hours for it to charge completely also the camera isnt good at all i hated the camera quality but its just what you get anyway. I would rate it a 6/10

You need to actually use the stuff you "review", you always just open it up on camera and give a 5 minute impression of it. Like I was actually interested in this video as I've seen that tablet and wondered how bad could it be for my son who plays super mario run and a few other games but you didn't even run a game on it or cast netflix with it or anything. Isn't this your job? Why such limited time on videos, maybe that would help with your view counts?

No, this isn't my job. I work a 9-5 like most other people, and have a wife and 2 kids, so the time I have to devote to making videos is really minimal. As I mentioned early in the video, I've built up a ridiculous backlog of videos I need to make, so I'm trying to work through that, but you do make a good point. I've done some other videos where I use the device for at least a full day, and that generally makes a better video. In this case, it's a ridiculously cheap Android tablet with mediocre performance and battery life, and I don't expect my opinion to change beyond that. It's actually in my dad's hands at this point, so maybe I'll do a follow-up with him after he's had the chance to use it for a few weeks, and turn that into a video. "Switching my dad to a $100 Android Tablet", or something to that effect.

I saw the elgato streamdeck on the shelf. I feel like you could do some really fun things with home automation. I know it’s targeted towards streamers but I use it as a switch for light scenes. I have been looking for a cheap tablet for watching KZbin and searching the web use to have an iPad but I sold that a few months ago. Have you heard of amazon making an updated fire tablet?

I hadn't even thought about using the streamdeck for home automation. That would be great! I think Amazon just rolled out a new Fire Tablet (the $50 one), but the HD8 and HD10 are still older (2017-2018) versions. I don't believe Amazon has rolled out an official KZbin app for the Fire Tablets though. It's there for the Fire TV line, but not the tablets. I was checking on my HD8 the other day and couldn't find an official one.

Damn, just in price/performance, this blows an iPad Pro out of the water. I know, I know, diminishing returns. Apple's products are BEAUTIFUL, but I think when you look at what the average person is doing on them, they're wasting their money. I think once you jump up to like $150-200 for a tablet, you're in the sweet spot. But for everyone else, this is probably going to be 100% fine.

I think at this point, just like using a laptop, most people are moving in the direction of dongles for everything, so a USB-C to HDMI adapter, for example. I got my new laptop from my work, and they shipped me an HDMI monitor with a USB-C to HDMI cable and a USB-C hub with an HDMI port, so I could use either one.

@@JordanKeyes not all tablets have usb 3 or C ports to support HDMI output .. To save a couple pennies they cut out functionality .. Like Apple the manufacturers are always trying to trap you into buying more stuff to get around built-in limitations

So Walmart has forced me to print out the consumer protection rights and all electronics in the state I resided. If anyone else has had this problem please comment. Yes, but phones don’t ship with keyboard and such a large screen. I think it’s actually really impressive what you can get for this price these days. You might have forgotten, but spending $100 5 years ago would have gotten you a tablet that would barely play Angry Birds or KZbin videos. Nowadays you can even play 3D games on a tablet as low end as this one. I wouldn’t want to use this tablet because I’m used to better things, but I wouldn’t have a problem with it if I had to.

"you can probably use it on your lap" Come on, you should have _tried_ that, and reported how well it worked. Does the back part keep flopping back, or is it stable enough? You also didn't comment on the display. It's only 800px tall, and you lose some due to the soft buttons at the bottom. *How readable* is text? That is an important question for my use. How is the battery life? I saw reviews on the Wallmart page saying it won't charge while in use, and that puts a cramp on things... why not see how the battery lifetime is, and whether it works indefinitely when plugged in? You didn't _try_ the keyboard. This review amounted to: "It's cheap! Feels cheap, too. But it works. It sets-up just like any other Android." That is, nothing of substance, and nothing I wouldn't have supposed just from the ad.
