Goalkeepers deserve so much more love. Like seriously, just because all they do is stand about at one end of the field and don't grab as much attention as often as the outfield players doesn't mean they aren't important to the game or that they aren't good. The gravity of their position needs to be appreciated. Defenders may get away with mistakes, strikers and midfielders too, but if a goalkeeper makes just one mistake he is the villain who conceded a goal.

Van Der Saar really was the whole package as a keeper. Great reflexes, but so much of what he did wouldn't be put into most highlight videos.
