Kaiju No. 8= 30yo man gets job being op mascot for giant monster fighting force. chillin in another world= isekai'd to another world from a similar world but with more real problem racism. re:monster= kirby goblin takes over the world with sex. reincarnated as an aristocrat= only the main character can use analysis and see peoples stats. only summarized ones I watched so far.

Just want to let you know as someone who has watched Spice and Wolf before the remake and the current one, you will like the way the story is retold, i dont remember the cold open to the original but essentially in this one, Holo is telling her Adventure to someone who seems related to her that is pretty much how the first episode opens and it is a great way to introduce an old anime to a newer audience 6 episodes are out and I think they will make this a split season anime (part 1 now part two later)because the subtitle is "Merchant Meets The Wise Wolf." So part one is most likely recap and part 2 may be involving a different character but for now part one is just finishing up the Silver Coin Value Rumor so there is enough there to see if you like the pacing of the story. Also Girl Band Cry is under Toei animations and A-1 Pictures so it is either an Anime that is being used to test the waters with 3d animations or they are planning something with it either way the Music is good/decent (depends on taste) and can be found on Spotify that is all that matters right the music and not the plot for this one.

I was excited for The New Gate anime. I really loved the LN and keep up to date on the manga releases. I'm enjoying the episodes so far but the animation leaves me very underwhelmed. The story itself has enough twists and surprises to be a good anime but I'd recommend the LN or manga over the anime then if you enjoy it go ahead and watch it.

The webcomic Wind Breaker on Webtoon is a cycling anime I'd watch. That's an actually good plot. i tried watching the original. it was great when it came out but we've had 20 years of LN anime adaptations since then. The art of turning 4000 pages of book into an anime has improved and when LNs don't follow the formula I've grown accustomed to I lose interest. Nux, "Kaiju #8" is very straight-forward action and monsters... and it's GREAT! Friggin love it. There are pretty much no twists, no convoluted backstories, no staggering betrayals... it's just badass building battles with increasingly powerful monsters. About the only mystery is the monster origin. So it's a straight-up shonen, like DBZ.

The vest part about Kaiju #8 was at the beginning when the MC's knowledge from working on a kaiju garbage disposal team gave him tactical knowledge of anatomy and helped him make up for his physical weakness. It went downhill from there.

yeah I found it a bit unrewarding. because when the anime started the collar was iconic. Then when she's freed from the collar and establishes her look as uncollared (for me I missed how she looked post collar but grew accustomed to it quickly.) the put the collar back on. Since this is a meticulously detailed light novel im sure there's great reasons for it and I'm over it already but yeah... I think the moral of this story is I just find change to be uncomfortable.
