See the thing with games like FNAF and Poppy is that they weren't made for kids,but they end up gaining a big kid fanbase. I think it's cause kids want horror,they can handle it better than adults give them credit for,but there's not a lot of kid centered horror available to them,so they go for what they can get their hands on. Plus the mascots being from things kids naturally already like,since the genre is to twist those things,and being bright colors or whatever it may be probably help in drawing in the younger fans.

FNAF has always been PG in its actual depictions of horror, and Cawthorne himself explicitly said the series is meant to be PG. It's the books where you have the much more explicit descriptions of what's actually happening, which is why there's this enormous disconnect between the lore around FNAF and what you actually see in the games (and now, the movie). But I agree that Poppy Playtime falls more into that bracket, it has the veneer of being child-friendly but in the actual gameplay it very much *isn't*.

Poppy Playtime began as a grieving father spiting God in desperation, then that frankensteinian abomination being repeated to save the lives of kids and (probably) said father only for a genuine psychopath (Harley Saywer) to institutionalize it. What man-made horrors await below playcare? I dread to know.

I think he was wrong with Ludwig’s daughter being adopted and a child. There’s a pattern with the intelligence and behavior of the toys. The prototype seems to be different because he might be Ludwig himself, an adult. Bron was also an adult and the toys knew he was different and he acted different aswell. Kissy Missy being an adult also had a weird feel to her; she acts smart at times. Mommy long legs also had a lot of depth even saying that she was like a mother to the kids. So she was an adult. Those are adult turned toys, they always end up different, more conscious. Buggy wuggy’s purpose was guard, there was never any dept to him and he was a kid turned toy. Cat nap blindly worships the prototype and we know he’s Theo; a kid. Poppy is also weird and like a big boss compared to the prototype who might be her father. So her being so smart and different we could say that she was in her 30s when she died. Maybe an accident caused her death and after his divorce she was the only family he had. I know is a small fact that probably doesn’t matter but it’s really weird to me that poppy would be a child when we are clearly told from Bron and the prototype that adults turned toys are different. That would explain her intelligence and personality and would just make sense with the timeline. Or maybe I’m just fried 🤔

What if the prototype is the creator of the factory, it would make sense, he doesn’t have any recordings beyond the welcome to playtime and the orphanage area, and he is extremely intelligent and inventive, so the doctor killing him and using poppy as the base for a far more crude but functional design to get an understanding of living toys makes sense. Didn’t watch the video beforehand, just made some connections based on the stuff that happens in game, and what stuff is omitted.
