This thing makes E-Claws look fair. I bet it gives people the Jackpot opportunity a lot knowing full well it will drop it intentionally. Anyone notice how the machine somehow knows you lost despite having no way of telling that?

Absolutely correct: the claw game part is strictly for entertainment only. This is a slot machine, and like any other slot machine it has determined whether you will win or lose, and how much the win will be if it is a winning play, as soon as you hit the bet button. If you're lucky enough to be on a winning play, it will actually give you multiple tries to successfully grab a ball, ultimately giving you the prize after three attempts even if you never manage to pick up a ball (there are some other videos of this machine on KZbin that demonstrate this behavior).

E-Claws are fair, they are just set to a high payout rate by the game owners.

I got so excited for y'all when that 1000 started flashing. I know it is based on a payout and rarely the big jackpot is paid out, but geesh totally rigged. Not one ball accidentally fell out, the claw clearly opens and releases it. You think they would not make it so obvious.

Yippee! Way to go, good job losing $90! In all seriousness - do not play these machines. There's a reason why they try and lure you in - it's to think you might win, when in actuality it's a big money maker for the owners of the venue. At least with other rigged claw machines, you only lose $1 or so at a time trying to win a cudly toy. This claw machine is officially gambling, which is a terrible idea.
