Concerning the tank I discovered that after raising the fishes up to is certain month that is two months, there tends to be some reddish stuff in the tank, what is the cause of this, does it affect the fishes and what to do about it

My catfish are about 3 months from juvenile n yet there is at least 2 or 3 mortality every 2 to 3 days . Is it normal or there is something I don’t know
