Just my $0.02.... I tried to make a kit for sale, and the biggest problem I ran into was in a word: Parts Parts availability (made in that color, rarity, cost for 'that part', etc...) to be more precise. I had to find at least 50 of a part that hadn't been made in a long time for the first run. I found 6 (2 I had, and 4 on Bricklink). I needed few of a new part that only came in one set, so it cost more even with Bricklink. Little things add up. After a while life intrudes and/or the project gets shelved.

I built Tamiya military plastic models as a kid. I have been a military history buff for many years, particularly North African and eastern fronts WW2. I have built Lego sets for many years, but the concepts of Lego and military have never been linked in my mind. Yesterday, I randomly came across Brick Mania vids on KZbin for the first time. I am so blown away by Brickmania and their mil vehicle models that I am nearly speechless. I am simply slack-jawed and wide-eyed at the historical accuracy of the models and the dedication and talent of Brickmania designers at producing them. I can almost instantly recognize the models as the vehicles they represent, which means that the scaling and details of the models are basically as perfect as they can be. I am struggling to understand how the designers come up with these models to make them look so perfect and accurate given the limitations of Lego brick types and sizes. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just looked in their website. WHY ARE THEY SO EXPENSIVE?! There is no way a simple tank is worth 500 USD. A lego brand kit with 200 pieces is like 50. The price of these kits are way overpriced.

Brickmania is just a very small, independent company. The reason why the kits are so expensive is because of parts, printing instructions, packaging etc. This can get very expensive very quick for a company with a team of idk 13 or so people

Actually the marines did not get the short end of the stick they just didn't want to modernize because they suspected new gear to not be as reliable, for example most marines still used the M1903 Springfield because the branch head was skeptical about the M1 Garand

Here in My country, (Not Usa), Legos are also very expensive, but there is also another big problem. Things like this can't be find in the country, so, if you want some of this, you need to buy it from Usa, and the price just triplicates! I love legos, but literally, some sets cost more than what some people gets for working for months! I just want to start making stopmotion videos about ww2, but it's very hard to buy everything to start!
