@christianboi7690Ай бұрын
I mean, plenty of things got finished. If you leave cool assets or unfinished/partially implemented levels/mechanics that’ll be something obvious for others to work on. It’s just that if you don’t implement it at all so that they have to scour through the code to even know it exists than it’ll probably get overlooked. Still the hand boss and the witch got implemented despite being hidden in the code. The type of communication matters, I guess.
@CommentPositionInformerАй бұрын
@@christianboi7690 There is also the problem of overloading. If you come across a game with a bunch of incomplete features, and you add more incomplete features for the next person to finish, what is going to happen is that none of the features are going to be finished. A round of playtesting. If you come across unfinished features, then finishing them should be a priority before adding new things (unless you straight up don't have the skillset to finish certain things). At least, that way the game goes forward.

Half the people in this challenge just put in stupid shit and don't take it serious at all. Also how did 2 "Devs" together only add a single trap to the game... Too many of these devs are too obsessed with having to add something themselves instead of improving the project in a meaningful way.

I feel like he maybe went a bit too hard with the bloom - especially in the lava level - but some of them looked really good. I guess you could argue it gave it a bit of a 'my art direction is shit, so I'm trying to hide it by over compensating on the post processing effects' look that a lot of low quality indie games have, but also, the art direction was indeed shit, so maybe that was fine? xD

@LTMStarlightАй бұрын
While it is a shame and I think in a non 100 dev pass the game challenge it would be a great mechanic. But with how many mechanics were crammed into the game I think removing the parry was probably the right choice (that’s not to say that 25 other mechanics should’ve stayed but if you had to remove only 1 I think you could do a lot worse or rather a lot less good.)
