I'm on ssdi and no help with nothing so I was one to say I never this I never that. I started saving what ever I could even down to just saving a few pennies. I have paid off 2 credit cards and I have a small emergency fund and grocery fund started. You have to believe in your self in order to overcome your doubts. Thank you baddies and budgets for being real and keeping people like me going in the right direction. 😊

I'm low income so I find the 100 envelope challenge really intimidating so I actually came up with my own version. It's not a 5k result which is okay, but it's been a good starter for me to better manage my finances since I keep going off the rails with them but everyone falls sometimes, or multiple times. Just have to keep getting back up. I havent completed my challenge yet but I'm hoping this year will be different and I'll be able to complete it.

You are the first budgeter I started watching in September of 2022. You are so motivating and watching you and others has helped me to budget and stick with it. I was doing the 100 envelope challenge, but a week ago my daughter needed to get glasses and she and my son needed new shoes. Well, there went all the money I had put back in the envelopes. Yet, even tho I was upset, if I hadn't have had that money set aside, I'd have been using my credit card. I had to tell myself that even if it's pocket change, I'm going to keep putting back what I can. I'm determined to stick to my budget and get out of debt thanks to your inspiration! I've created my 100 envelope challenge kit; haven't started yet BUT I'm currently doing a 52 week challenge, the $1 and $5 challenges for the year, a mini $1K challenge that I'll repeat all year, and the savings binder to get ahead. I was out of work for 5 years while being my mom's full-time caregiver, and I have no regrets about that, but I'm having to redirect my energy and focus back on myself. You have to experience it to understand 🙏🏾. Finding your videos in Oct/Nov last year was incredibly motivating because I am a saver by nature, and your methods just make so much sense. It's empowering! Not to mention I love your straightforwardness, and how you remind us to remember our own worth. Thank you! ❤

Back in my single Mama days I used to use the envelope method for my budgeting (I’m 46 as of yesterday) I was working 3 jobs to make ends meet.
