the raft is pushed by the slime blocks, and the witch prevents the raft from going too far off the edge. It kinda bounces off the witch and is in perfect position to be pushed by the next slime blocks. You could probably replace it with a trapdoor, but that would cause SLIGHT item loss (unacceptable)

loved the video but cant get schematic working even with blocks to align tnt. exploding tnt blows falling tnt up a little bit to miss a cycle and cause everything to blow up :(

you could enable the carpet setting '/carpet tntPrimerMomentumRemoved', that may help. Are you playing on a server or singleplayer?

@ could just be server lag, since the timing of tnt and snowman are very precise. You could try using a different clock that fires at a slower interval rather than 26gt
