i had a life long puppy. her name was DeeDee. she was a Rottweiler and half Pitbull. she was about as aggressive as a gummy bear. she would hop after grass hoppers and did well with small children. she did pin the cat down. but she gave it a good a bath. she did guard the house from coyote's, skunks', and rodents. she had very pretty fur and coloring. years latter and i still miss that big pup.

The ability to love so deeply is something that amazes me, we often see doy dogs that are not properly loved but still are loyal, i think that this has something to do with food. I have had goldies for most of my life and would not be without one, these dogs have tbe most loving nature of them all, and those big seal eyes i think are the give away, even after doing something they should not have done, one look from those eyes and you cannot stay angered for long, and they know it and quickly adopt the " i,m your best friend atitude licking you to death. The only thing that i have found is that regardless of how well they are cared for, their life span is really not long enough, i think 12 and a half was the oldest, and boy does it hurt when they go. Anyone thinking of getting one eally needs educating to the very well established fact that they are not guard dogs in any way shape or form, they might bark a bit, but thats only to welcome who ever it is coming, not to put them off. They also seem to like traveling in the car, and i have often seen mine really paying attention to whats passing by, if its another dog then the ears go forward and the eye brows go up usually followed by the lets play pose

You are so right, John. We believe that growing up with a dog teaches you so much, and not only about having a pet, but also about being responsible and looking after others. Your dog is your first best friend, your partner in crime, your most loyal companion and always the one you can turn to when nothing seems to go as planned. Sadly, they don't live as much as we do and we have to let them go when their time comes even we are not ready for it. But they even teach us how to mourn and how to eventually be able to carry on. Such giving animals ❤️

You are right I have had another type of dog that conveyed a lot of expression with it's eyes and she was a Dobberman pincher,she would do something that she knew that I disapproved of and then come love on me and give me a certain look that said I'm sorry I was just kidding! I would normally not have this breed of K9 but I found her being abused and so now she is mine and safe! Please if you see any animal being abused please stand up for it! They can't stand up for themselves and some people are really Cold and cruel!

For some reason my dog freaks out and gets very anxious every time the power goes out. It's not in response to me or a storm or any beeping or even any lights turning off. There's been times in the middle of the day or middle of the night, the power will go out and I won't even notice bc everything g is turned off, but somehow he knows and will start acting weird and feel the need to sit on top of me. He's a 70-75 pound husky so it's not that comfortable. The only explanation I can come up with is possibly change in the ionization of the atmosphere. He has extremely fine fur and always carries a static charge. Petting him is like pulling a load of fluffy towels out of the dryer. Either that or it's the sudden decrease in sound that bothers him.

That cold, moist, leathery goodness of a dogs snout is so cool I love it. My dog Has to give me a kiss on her sweet leathery beak when I get home at night. Also my Minature Schnauzer is My license service dog emotional support by my psychiatrist a license to carry him where ever I go , He was trained that if he doesn't see me he's not doing right and he looks for me every where , which does Separation anxiety if I'm not around like going to the grocery store he howls like a wolf, I had to get another dog to keep him company when I went to the grocery store of course it's another miniature schnauzer now you're thinking 🤔 nope my RockyRhodes still goes crazy until I return and then he goes crazy for a good 5 min , and it's the only time he gives me kisses and I mean it unless he really knows that I'm not feeling well at all and he let's me know he's right there and ready to take care of me, also my boy actually talks with me to which I always told my father and of course my dad would say it's all in my head however my mother moved in with me after my sad death of my dad and she was shocked when Rocky would start talking with me , now sadly mother has passed away and I have a roommate who has been shocked to hear Rocky actually talking with me , and it's not only to go out or to play but he gives me Like a full lecture if I have left l him any amount of time with her , she says he doesn't leave the front door for anything including treats or to play with the other 2 I have , it's So obvious to anyone like if one of the 2 other dogs have had an accident and go potty in house Rocky actually Smells to which one did it and then he yells at them giving them a Serious disciplining and lecture and lecture that they should not go potty in the house and he gets really serious about making sure they know they've been naughty and he's very unhappy about what they have done, I swear Rocky is a human as can be 🙂 anyway I was just sharing my thoughts and love for this breed of dog !
