Tati is EASILY one of the most dedicated beauty KZbinrs (and not just out of the beauty community, lets be honest) and I honestly think I'll always be subbed to her. It so true that foundation is so different from person to person. The Wet and Wild one that's so hot right now; I have been trying and it patches up on me and slides off my nose. Although, I have a friend who uses it and looks flawless. Just like the Nars Velvet Matte didn't sit well on Tati's face I think it was great for me. So don't get upset or let this stop you from trying a foundation. These are all Tati's opinions and that's why we are all here because we love and respect her, but these could still work wonders for you.

Yeah, I tried the wet n wild photofocus foundation and it was just so terrible on me. It cracked and creased like crazy, it felt super drying and it oxidized so much in a matter of minutes. At least it was cheap...

When I first tried it I HATED it. It looked so patchy and shiny. But I set it with L'Oréal hydra perfecte (not sure on spelling) translucent Powder with a damp beauty blender and it looks so good.

Photofocus breaks up on me and starts oxidizing within a few hours and I don't even have oily skin. This was back when it first launched in winter... I'd hate to see how it'd react to a sweaty summer. I do like the powder though.

Well, for years I played it safe with the iconic Revlon Colorstay foundation, which is still my go-to sure fire workhorse, but I tried others as well. There were quite a few disappointing products, but I also found some really nice alternatives like the Wake Me Up foundation from Rimmel which always earns me compliments. I have found that the more foundations you have, the more flexibility you have as your skin transitions through the seasons, your cycle, and weather conditions

When you see her unboxing video's and various hauls I think see hardly hits pan on anything. What borthers me (a bit) is that maybe see likes a product for a few days or a week and then it doesn't seem to work out in the end. So a product never is put to the test for a longer period. So I sometimes question her recommendations. Still love seeing her every day for her hard work and personality!

Taylor Williams it makes sense when you don't average it out, but instead take into account the super high end foundations she has (i.e. la mer, tom ford, chanel, dior, etc.) that cost like $75-$100+ each ) and then all the "mid range" ones she has like the hourglass, smashbox, makeup forever, etc ones that all cost around $30-$60 each. Especially when you also take into account that she has multiple shades in all her foundations.

"Just a little tip" Any time I open a new make up product I take a fine point sharpie and write the month / year ( example 6/17) on the bottom or somewhere on the product so I know exactly when it was opened. I don't use make up every day so this helps me out a lot.

I think these makeup companies add spf in their foundations so that they expire. After all, no one actually benefits from the spf 15 in it unless you're putting 8-10 pumps on the face. I guarantee no one's putting that much on their face, so why add it at all...

Victoria the amount you put doesn’t matter. The spf actually does protect. You don’t need a thick layer of stuff to shield out the sun lmao. It wouldn’t be good for your pores if you did that anyways. Your body and face are completely different

Have you noticed the typical scale for foundations is from 1-10. If you can find one of your foundations that match you well check the number like in my case it's 2, 2.0, 20 or 120. If one of them has a name and number try to use it as a reference point. The rest is wild wild west. :)

Barbara K I was just gonna comment that. The one I've used in the past is called Findation. All you need to input is at least one foundation that you like the match for your skin and it gives you results for the best shade for you in other brands.

Sephora will shade match you for free and then when you shop online their website can filter all their products by color. It will list your shade in every color.
