100% FREE MetaBox Lite - First Look & Impression

I’m right now looking for my best Dynamic data tool for my stack which is the following (some plugins only): - Bricks - Advanced Themer - Bricksforge - Core Framework - Brixies - Surecart From ACF, JetEngine, Metabox, ACPT. Which option is recommended? If you have any other options please let me know I’m interested in a lifetime option but I can live with a yearly plan.

So first, yes I'd like more content on this as this seems like a great option above the ACF free plugin which I currently use. Secondly, I'd like to see how this would work for a photographer's portfolio website where they need to update the images and galleries regularly This most especially I'm looking forward to as I will be working with more photographers this year

Great one! Does somebody know, is Jet Engine the only plugin with Profile Builder functionality?

Hey, I think ACF has that even in free plan. You dont need JetEngine.

cozmoslabs has a pretty full feature profile builder.

The repeater region can only be accomplished with the premium extension (MB Groups).

I can't find any info - Are galleries in the pro version, like they are in ACF? I wonder if this new lite offering is in response to the whole ACF WPEngine Matt conflict, to pick up new users for the metabox ecosystem. The cynic in me wonders if some kind of a bait and switch might coming down the road...

You can use thw Advanced Imges in the Lite version of Metabox for gallery functionality. I've just tested it with Bricks and it works like a charm. :)

Looks good. I'll give it a spin and drop some feedback on how it compares to Toolset. Being free and with so many fetures built potentially makes it an alternative contender for me. It also has a migration from Toolset, whichis an extra bonus. I was keeping ACPT in mind but this looks like that mightn't be necessay.

Kinda odd they dont show the different fields available, or compare differences to pro on their webpage. If this has repeaters and gallery, then i would switch. But cant tell

Repeater or Group field is only a Pro function, For the gallery (Image Advanced in meta box) it is available in the lite version

Agreed. Meta Box free was a lot clunkier when you had to work with a bunch of extensions and generate the code for fields externally on their site.

@ When I am building themes or plugins, I use metabox (embedded within theme or plugin) And for building websites with builders or blocks, ACF is still the viable option
