I agree! I watch a hyper-realistic artist on KZbin and he talks about the insane amounts of time he puts into his drawings, and I'm like, "Wow. you just spent two weeks drawing something that looks exactly like the photo you drew from." Love your work!

I agree as well. It takes way too long and it’s no fun to just copy a photo. if you like working that way, it’s great, but I like more creative types of art.

Love this, James. As someone who only really works on graphic and character design and am currently a member of Stephen Silver’s community, I’m finding myself more drawn toward learning caricature, especially given how fondly he also discusses it. It’s really interesting watching you work and I feel inspired to pick up a sketchbook and do this challenge myself.
