no Vans are really worth the price if you're on a budget. They skate GREAT. Almost every single pair of classics, pro classics, and the pro line of Vans shoes skate very well. The problem is, they get floppy, the soles (not the grip) wears quickly, the suede usually isn't that great, and sometimes the shoes can really rub your toes or achilles tendon leading to blisters/abrasions. All Vans have a lifetime on them before they get too soggy to skate. Take the AV Rapidweld for instance. They last long, but get soggy at the same time as any other Vans shoe with the same sole. Waffle Cup isn't that great either. It maybe makes the soles last a few days to a week longer than the normal vulcs before it gets soggy.
