For those trying to learn Korean, my advise is...if you feel that you will never be able to learn it, leave it for a while, like a week or so, rest your mind, then go back..by that time, perhaps you may have forgotten 80 percent, but this time, it will be easier to absorb the words you studied before...then rest again.. It may seem to take forever, but with the easing of the lockdown nowhere in sight, time is in our hands, and learning Korean is within our reach. I am also struggling to learn the language, and am wondering how in the world I can understand the Kdrama talk without the english subtitles, but as they say, never say die. After this covid curse is over, we can take pride in having achieved something good from this bad situation.

First of all, I want to thank the author of the channel for making this beautiful and useful video for us! Many people are embarrassed to speak a foreign language if they have no speaking skills. People are afraid to hear criticism from others in their address. It all comes from having a psychological complex - to make a mistake. But, after all, he who does nothing is not wrong! In Yuriy Ivantsiv's workshop "Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign language" states that we need to talk as much as possible: with yourself, with the mirror, with inanimate objects, with children and with pets. Find an interlocutor in real life or online. Talk without shyness. People won't care how you speak. They understand that you are a foreigner, as long as they understand you. They may even acknowledge your progress in their language and compliment you. However, always be prepared for criticism of your speaking skills. If you have the will to speak, you will gain an interesting interlocutor to consolidate your knowledge. Everyone is strewn with mistakes - don't be afraid to learn from them. As the Latin wisdom says, "walk and thou shalt not go astray". In the book "Polyglot Notes" by Yuriy Ivantsiv an entire chapter is devoted to the development of spoken language. Here you will find many useful tips and each student can choose a technique that suits him or her best! I wish you all the best of luck in your language learning!
@quuenbanaana84252 жыл бұрын
Also korean learners have the burden- of not seeming like a koreaboo. I wan't to learn essential terms of the language to help understand the music and entertainment more. And back to your comment I very much agree. We're as people scared to make mistakes, although making them usually leads to learning better. And if someone judges another for trying to learn their language I think it's more about them than the language learner, after all, learning to speak another language is respectful and shows your commitment

Learning Korean so I can understand what ENHYPEN are saying in their vlives 🚶♀️

Ever since I found how entertaining and well done Korean shows and movies are done I’ve realized how lovely the language is. This video is great except for one thing. You should have the background music way softer or cut it out completely. It really interferes with trying to hear the subtleties in the phrases.

I'm a once, blink, army, moomoo and much more etc.. mainly a blink but am I the only one learning Korean just for learning Korean? Before I knew about K-pop I still wanted to go to Korea and learn the language because I was interested in it. I have a list of languages I want to master or learn the basis of it. I'm a hard worker and I have much more of my life left and my genes from family usually live up to 100's or in the 90's. So I have a lot of my life to do whatever and the rest to learn. *M Y L I S T* -Korean -Filipino or Vietnamese -Thai -Mandarin or Nepali -French (I know how to understand it and read it I just need confidence and more practise to speak it) -Malay or Indonesian etc.. still narrowing it down mostly Asian languages because I am an Asian myself a Thai/N. Indian/Filipino Girl
