Phish person here that has known about the 4/22/90 thing for a few years - if I remember correctly the story goes is that the person that put the video of the show online taped it over some surgery video he had, and that small smidge of it just ended up leaking through and it wasn't caught until after being posted. regarding the video of kevin ware's leg injury, the first time i ever saw it was fairly recently, and i fully agreed to watching it because it was for educational purposes because my junior year anatomy class was being taught about the skeleton and how a compound fracture (the specific name for ware's injury) occurs, as well as why it's called a compound fracture, which is because a bone fractures as well as the skin around it. i found it more interesting than disturbing, though i suppose that's more because i view injuries - no matter how severe - as something that could happen to anybody and not something that should be seen as disgusting.

I searched many of these videos while watching the list, I'm currently at half, but "A Terribly Disturbing Ego Battle" just completely left me shocked. The amount of shots, the cold blood the man has, the woman being shot twice as many times as the man (whom also got a dozen shots) is horrifying. The fact, that the man shot with a pistol and went back for his AR. You can see the woman still being alive after being shot in the head twice, blood all over her face, trying to crawl away while the shooter ends the husband's life completely, then the man gets back to the woman shooting her again. Completely terrifying. I'm so happy I don't live in the US.

they showed us red asphalt in drivers ed back in my sophmore year of highschool, i live in new jersey where sophmore health is drivers ed. it scared me so bad that to this day, i still refuse to even learn how to drive. the teacher seemed way too enthusiastic to show it to us, he was super proud of himself for scaring people with it even when he claimed he didn't intend to show it to scare people. i don't even know how they let him show it to a classroom of 15 year olds without a permission slip considering i needed one signed senior year just to watch the breakfast club in creative writing class. a year later he quit after he was caught on sexual misconduct with some of the girls on the soccer team, and his brother apparently also went to jail for assaulting minors. i guess it runs in the family fun fact: i dated a guy once who was pretty numb to this sort of stuff, and according to him, the 3rd one was the most gory and unpleasant to watch. my class was shown the 5th one

This is a really great creepy video, another video that shouldve been mentioned here is markipliers play through of “the hospital”, a game which includes two jumpscares of real gore, the first being an autopsy and the second being a skinned face. The original video was taken down by mark himself, but there are plenty uncensored reuploads available to see, and youtube does not seem to care.

There is a similar game that SomeOrdinaryGamers played called Mario3.exe. Like 'The Hospital,' it uses real gore as jumpscares. The first is a roadkill turtle, the second is a woman's head split open and the third is a self-inflicted injury from a shotgun (the latter is actually from BestGore too).

im chronically ill, and it took me several months to get diagnosed. it would have taken a year or longer had i not had a doctor who listened to me. hunter hogans case is so incredibly real and sad. so many people go are forced to be their own doctor, especially with the rise of abortion bans. regardless, i hope wherever he is, hes doing better.

It really bothers me you say nobody knows what happened to Elisa Lam. It is well documented she has Bipolar 1 with psychotic features, and either taking tiny amounts of meds, or likely stopped altogether recently. Her behavior in the elevator makes perfect sense to me, as someone who experiences this disease in a similar way, though currently doing well on my meds. She was so scared and felt convinced someone or something was after her. She didn't know what she was doing really, she was freaking out and just doing things. When she got on the roof she thought that the cistern was the only safe place to be, but couldnt get out and eventually died. It is very well documented what happened. The Autopsy report since the beginning of the story, spelled this out clearly, that she drowned but the secondary cause was bipolar.
