I’ve never, ever heard the name Sophia/Sofia pronounced sof-eye-uh, with that long “I” sound. Is this really a thing? Also, I’ve never heard the name Eva pronounced with that short “e” sound in the beginning. Sometimes, I’ll hear Eva pronounced like Ava, with the Spanish vowel sound used for the “e.”
