These bike often don’t have the right air fuel mix. I had that problem when I got mine. You need move the clip on the carburetor needle up to creat a richer ratio. That is what solved my problems. You are also supposed to leave the chain on so you can start it by pedaling

believe it or not a longer and rougher inside of and intake actually makes the bike run better because the fuel will atomize better the main problem for you guys was just air leaks

i love these motorized bike videos but the biggest performance killer and most issues come from air leaks by the carb, after fixing air leaks you can rejet the carb and change the sprocket and these will do 35 mph+ no problem

fyi in the future chuck the choke on max, start it then instantly pull clutch let it warm up then slowly put the choke off and ride, used to have one

The idle problem might be because you've removed the baffle. It has almost no backpressure, which you really need since it's two stroke. Try to put it back on, it might run fine.
