Goalkeeper had to stand his ground Incase the offside player got a touch (didn't know he was offside) if the player wasn't in that position he could have just dived left. OK he still wasn't getting that but who knows maybe a diving keeper could have been enough to put the striker off enough, well never know which is why it's offside

This was a tricky decision that you could argue both ways. On balance Armstrong was offside and did affect the GK because he made a movement to the ball. Unfortunate for saints but there you go.

I think it was correct. When Armstrong flicks towards the ball it makes the keeper hesitate.

Didn't see the incident. Listened over weekend to TalkSport everyone saying decision was wrong. Now I watched replay. Definitely right to disallow. Affected defenders and keepers decision making and positioning. so affecting play. So there will always be controversy and VAR and refs have impossible job. Decisions like this are about opinions.
