So I decided to put together a metal multitracks pack, generated by a program I wrote, which you can hear in action here; • 10 Hours Of Procedural...
The product contains a bunch of files, including stem tracks, backing tracks, MIDI files and DI files.
Hope you like it!
The license for this pack is as follows:
- You are not allowed to simply resell this pack as is.
- You are not allowed to reupload this pack as is.
Other than that, anything goes. If you want to use parts of these songs, even commercially, go ahead. If you want to use these songs as background music in your videos or on your stream, go ahead. If you want to use the drum MIDI in your own songs, go ahead.
Attribution is not required in any form, but appreciated. (:

can you do me a favor? i'm trying to invent a new genre of music. basically i'm disenfranchised from modern commercial rock and hip hop, so i had to make my own style by transposing all my weird niche hipster bs onto hardstyle\trapmetal, but i cant do producer stuff so it sounds like 50s AM radio but with consistent inconsistency. my demos I uploaded i tagged as Aggrobass and they have a vibe i like to describe as psychedelic archangels in space with sky trumpets playing neo-romantic heavy metal at a renaissance faire. please rip me off

im just gonna comment this into the void in hopes that someone can execute my idea as an art for all to enjoy. i have no knowledge of video game production or coding. But I wish there was a video game (like Doom, more like Metal Hellsinger) that has a poignant soundtrack that progressively escalates and almost matches what is happening on screen. My idea is more Doom-like gameplay, with the music merely acting as background, but it can literally emulate every single thing happening in the level. Movement creates the either the drum / bass / rhythm, Enemies appearing create harmonized guitar tracks or something, ambience can just start and end with the levels themselves. Tempo shouldn't change but if things start happening at a different rhythm, like say you switch to a shotgun after a machine gun you used was creating blastbeats or something; the shotgun's fire rate could be like a polyrhythm, so a subtle breakdown could ensue in the soundtrack. I dont think the soundtrack should be the focus of the game, but like Metal Hellsinger if you can use the activity altogether as a sort of combo-multiplier as a bonus in the end: that would be sick. tldr Dennis needs to make a video game.

I'm officially envisioning the future of this body of code/audio/whatever In VST terms🧐 Edit: like, "band member/individual instrument" parameters existing or w/e Somehow feeding your song's midi and having it transpose as djent band? Randomizer type shits A scary big idea lol

Yep, I think more and more procedural tools will be implemented in songwriting workflow in the future. For example, I've toyed with the idea of trying to make a VST that generates drum beats based on some given input.. Would be super useful! : D

@@DennisMartenssonOfficial I’ve done this with a gate and side chaining it to pick up guitar transients to record kick midi while the cymbals and snares are all pre arranged. It worked okay, but this would be an awesome tool

Hi Dennis! This is excellent, I purchased your pack and it's super fun to mess around with. One suggestion I can offer would be to add the time signature in the info file as well as a midi map of each songs with the songs sections labelled (intro, main riff, breakdown, etc....) Other than that it's great, I hope you will come up with more stuff like this !

Dennis, I hope you see this. I genuinely love and appreciate everything you have done, I have purchased everything thus far and messaged you as well on facebook. I wanted to mention some of the elements are missing in midi form, even though they are there in the rendered wav track on ever song. In the video you demonstrate switching a orchestral instrument to guitar and the midi in the pack just isnt there. Im still stoked and have enjoyed navigating the songs, studying the layouts of what is generated and looking at scales is actually teaching me some music theory (i hope) so its making me love this stuff even more and see continued room to grow. Id love a way to option a tuning and scale for this.

Dennis I bought it, and I have an important thing to point out. The max file size for FAT32 is 4Gb. I use FAT32 because of compatibility with linux. This is not a problem with exFAT and NTFS. I am emptying a drive and formatting it to NTFS right now but this can be avoided if the pack is split into parts that are smaller than 4Gb. There might be people who do not even have the ability to format a drive. Just a consideration. Not a dealbreaker for me personally.

I am trying to understand what you are presenting here. You have created a generative model for djent? When I say generative model, I imply the following definition: "A generative model includes the distribution of the data itself, and tells you how likely a given example is. For example, models that predict the next word in a sequence are typically generative models (usually much simpler than GANs) because they can assign a probability to a sequence of words"

ML drums is in standard midi mapping. Most companies have an option for standard midi, it's just not as dynamic as using the full kit.

Hey Dennis, I was wondering if you allow content creators to use your music in their videos without copyright claiming them. I would be happy to link to your channel/videos if I used a song from it. Let me know what you think!

Of course! Just give credit and it's all good. : D Only my very first procedurally generated album on Spotify is registered with content ID and stuff (oversight on my part, shouldn't have been that way), but other than that, including ALL of my videos here on KZbin (and the livestream) will not trigger any form of automatic system and I will never personally claim anything, as long as it's used in good faith. So go ahead! (:

Hey so i bought this, and immediately deleted after downloading and i want to request a refund. Not what i was expecting. First of all the file size is huge and took a while to extract from the rar. Secondly, i expected full midis or at least better midis, these could barely be put together to make the full song. And though the stems are great for the drum tracks and what not, just not quite what i need. If you make a new pack that is all just the full song midis i would buy it, but you would need to correct the drum midis. When the drum midi is loaded into a standard midi controller the notes are not in the proper places at all, like cymbals are all over in congas and other percussion, kick and snare were down an octave at c2 and D2 instead of c3-d3
@DennisMartenssonOfficial
@DennisMartenssonOfficial Жыл бұрын
Unsure what you mean, the drum MIDI's are mapped towards specific popular drum libraries. I have not included a "standard" MIDI mapping for the drums. And all songs should include the MIDI's for the whole song, if you have found a song which does not include that, please point out which one! Anyway, please email me at DaybreakStudioSwe@gmail.com with the email you purchased the product from and I'll add in the refund.

@@DennisMartenssonOfficial any chance you will release a vst that generates riffs and drums? I think you could get a ton of revenue off that. Also have you considered pitching this to labels or software companies? You might be able to get some serious money.
