My dad was a truckdriver and (and became full timer RVer after retirement). I learned very early on to have several pairs of gloves. One for the sewer, one for fuel, one for picking up hot grill grates and others stashed everywhere. Tool boxes, glove compartments, door pockets, etc. The other big thing is use petroleum jelly. He carried a jar in tool boxes, the camper, inside his truck and his trucker ditty bag. Saw that come out once as a kid and grease the hitch. Hmmm learned W-D 40 was pretty invaluable camping, too. Miss him and all he taught me about camping.

Yeah, I use Kobalt with 24v batteries. Drill, impact driver, flashlights, fans, oscillating tool, sawsall, saw, pressure washer, leaf blower, angle grinder, angle ratchet wrench, weed eater and chainsaw. I also have a usb adapter for the batteries which provide 2 standard type A usb connections. There are more tools available, but not a vacuum yet. Having a full range of tools that use the same battery is very nice!

So many great items. Not just for RV or camping. Many can be used for small areas as well. I have the Shark Vertex Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner with DuoClean PowerFins and I love it. The "stick" bends so you can easily vacuum under furniture without having to move the furniture or get down on your hands and knees to get under it. It also folds to make it smaller for storage. I find it works well and I've loved mine.

Fabulous list. I was surprised that we have so many of these especially since we are in a class B where space is extremely limited. One thing we've done different than most is the bucket. We're using a rectangular window bucket with a lid for storing items then using for a bucket or even doing off grid laundry if needed at times. It just happens to fit really well for us. We also keep a small gas can, emergency strobes and three mini orange cones from the dollar store which can also aid in reserving our spot if we have to run into town. I've already got a collapsible water hose and hadn't even thought about taking it but I love your idea.

Amazon also has compostable flatware. Knives, forks, teaspoons made from wood, bamboo, or bioplastics. Supposedly all compostable, so no plastic pollution. The knives and forks are somewhat gentle, the teaspoons rather flat, but if you'd rather not make plastic piles, try them.

From amazon, I picked up two Save-A-Drop water flow meters; a white and blue one for my fresh water needs...like when filling my fresh tank and wanting to know exactly how many gallons have gone in, and a black and green one for use with my black hose when I dump my black tank, fill it back up and dump a few times then lastly adding back in about a gallon for the chems to slush around in when finished. They read in tenths of a gallon. They also give you a great understanding of how many gallons per minute your source can provide. most places that we have stayed at works out to 4 gallons a minute (I use a splitter where the fresh hose is metered and the black is full bore, whatever that may be). Knowing this, you can go by your watch even and walk away for a given amount of time.. Kind of handy.

Love most of these ideas and have many of them. Although many of them don’t apply because I’m not full time and our rig is much smaller. But one item I highly recommend for anyone with a rubber roof is eternabond tape. An absolute must if you get a puncture or leak. Also recommend moving the pressure regulator to the top of the Y. I have my black water flush hose attached to the other side of the Y and want to regulate that side too.

of yeah...a valterra flush king too!! when all of my tanks are all emptied and i am done with that business, I hook my black hose up to the port and open the valve for a few minutes, essentially flushing clean water through the slinky. As it is doing this I jostle the slinky around a bit from the camper side down to the sewer end, washing out almost all of the icky fluids that may have stowed away in the ridges of the slinky.

Great list and we do have a lot of them. We bought a cheap multimeter, which broke pretty quickly. We found the replacement model we got, happens to have a thermometer on it. Great to find a dual use for something. We bought one of those jump starter gadgets and discovered it didn’t work when we tried to help another traveller. The company replaced it with a newer and seemingly much better looking model. We still aren’t sure if it works though. Hubby thought it might wake our batteries from sleep mode today, but he ended up using an unregulated solar blanket, which worked right away. I guess we are learning all the time.

I find the basic sewer hose sidewinder as shown there completely useless over grass, but that's only in a few places. While Battleborn batteries used to be considered top notch, they are now behind and expensive. They sell a 12v 100ah battery "on sale" for $750. They weigh 31 pounds each. Compare, as an example EG4 server rack style batteries. Your choice 12v 400ah, 24v 200ah, 48v 100ah (3 different models). They are about 20x22x6 inches and weigh 100 pounds. They include a full function lcd display, battery comms, a built in breaker and 2 fire supressors. They run about $1400 each. 4 Battleborns (same watt hour) will cost $3000, weigh 124 pounds and not include lcd display, breaker, or fire suppression. You will also need more cables. I'm guessing you could fit 3 EG4 batteries in the same location as your battleborn batteries. That's over 15kwh of storage and cost $4200, while the same amount of storage would cost $9000 with battleborn while taking up more space, weighing 72 pounds more (24%), require more cabling, breakers, and complexity. Imagine utilizing an lcd screen on each battery to see SOC, volts, amps and cell voltages (plus battery comms means your solar system gets that info in real time and BMS limits). Imagine being able to sleep better knowing that your batteries include fire supression. Imagine being able to quickly isolate a battery because of the built-in breaker and power button. Imagine having batteries that support RSD (rapid shutdown). RSD is an emergency switch (usually a big red button) that can remotely shutdown all equipment that supports the protocal. I'm not sure Victron does, but EG4 does. In an emergency, press the RSD buttons and the Hybrid inverters and batteries all shut down. If your generator supports wired remote stop/start the EG4 hybrid inverters will shut down generator. The PV and AC input will be isolated.

Thanks for the informative videos. We saw that you painted the interior of your RV. Did you do it yourselves or have it done?

We love your channel - you always make it 'real'! To be perfectly honest I started to watch this one and for the first time I didn't finish one....100 products is a little overwhelming - sorry 🙂
