Waff, it’s called Engagement Optimized Matchmaking. COD had this implemented in their game for several years, and 2k followed. This new matchmaking system makes companies more money than without it. Catering the to casual player and punishing the skilled ones. Your player is purposely capped out several times during a game, and 9/10 the game is decided in the lobby. That tweet the dev made backfired so hard. Not because it didn’t hold true to the test of time, but he subconsciously revealed their dirty tactics by accident. The difference between the COD and 2k community is that their players fight again this and have the IQ to put the pieces together. They come together and speak about the issues. No egos, no one trying to suppress them, and no one most importantly disagreeing!!! They don’t have bots and brain dead people in their community. So why does 2k have these types of people in theirs?

I played center in the rec, and I was boxing out my opponent, the basketball decided to hit me in the head and wharp threw my body and give the defender the ball back. Yesterday I was playing against the A.I in my team and the A.I was wide open on the fast break and he was going up for a layup, the game decided for him to hit the bottom of the rim.

Interesting and very well done video throughout :) One good thing about me is that I will never double down on bad takes. There should be RNG on 3 pointers based on 3 point rating similar to how free throw is because nobody hits over 50% IRL over long periods of time, and that just encourages bad defense in just allowing players to go in and dunk rather than valuing paint protection. Whenever I played with squads in past 2K's, they always wanted me to allow the open dunks and I absolutely hated that and there is nothing that convince me otherwise. I can't see any way for a pure green window to be balanced because there will always be a group that hits 70% even when contested and another group that can never hit a 3 even when totally wide open. Now, before you get mad at me, the cases you have shown in this video, you are totally correct on and anybody defending 2k is just doubling down because you really never do see legendary defenders let the ball do that or not be able to pick up a ball and you never see anyone throw a ball under a basket or just behind the backboard so great work by you putting this together :)

@@waff6ix I totally get where you're coming from, but in this case, how can you stop an offensive player from scoring in a 1 v 1 setting? The 2K speedboosting mechanics do not allow any player to stay in front of the other... So you can play defense by making the player take a 3, which is a lower percent but higher reward if they hit it... This why the 2K11 shooting concept is the best. I do hope you realize though that the topics you discussed in this video make a lot of sense, so I am really trying to find common ground where I possibly can with you :) P.S. If 2k25 had a pure green window, my friends would've had to pay me a lot of money to get me out of retirement

I was literally telling my boy that the RNG isn’t the biggest problem in the game… it’s “bad game design”. I’m glad you repeated it multiple times in this video cause that’s why it’s so broke . The steals not working, the players gettin taken out of dunks but the layup still being considered open, shooting the ball behind the backboard or underneath the rim… all *BAD GAME DESIGN* (lmao the 0% free throw isn’t even RNG.. there’s no way you can make a 0% shot😂🤦🏾‍♂️) I’m good with RNG in shots cause it’s seems intentional, but there’s fundamental problems with this game that has nothing to do with RNG.
