These questions are great. Thanks for uploading this. One question - 39:26 - I was under the impression that Motor Circuit Protectors (MCPs) only have a magnetic trip function for instantaneous short-circuit protection. This instantaneous trip is to protect the wiring. The motor itself is protected separately by overload relays.

Yes, that is correct. I re-watched it and now realize I should have specified more that it's the separate overload used in combination with the MCP that provides the thermal overload protection (typically fusible links, solder pots, etc). Glad to hear you enjoyed it, there will be two more live webinars over the course of the next two weeks for this series and I'll be posting the recordings on the channel.

@electricalpereview I just bought your Electrical Engineering PE Practice Exam and Technical Study Guide 2nd Edition. What would you say is a passing score on this practice exam?
@electricalpereview
@electricalpereview 10 күн бұрын
A score of around 70% on the Technical Study Guide Practice Exam is considered very strong. If you’re curious about the scores of others who passed the PE exam, many of our users share their results from the Technical Study Guide Practice Exam, AIT Practice Exam, and NCEES Practice Exam when posting their success stories. You can find these in the “Success Stories” section on our power PE exam online community at www.powerpehelp.com.
